I much prefer the Baltic. Something about that classic, simple look catches my eye. The tinge of yellow also goes quite well with the dark blue. Great comparison mate.

I agree! the sapphire bezel really works well with the dial and crystal.

I’m really not a fan of the hydro conquest. I want to like it but I feel like it looks cheap next to a lot of other dive watches in the same price range. I think the legend diver and the Ultra-Chron are much better representations of Longines.

The legend diver and Ultra-chron are amazing heritage pieces, howver, they do comand a higher price. The bracelet on the hydroconquest may be a major contributing factor to the "cheap" feeling you describe. When paired with a strap, I feel the watch truely shines. It's a shame the bracelet doesn't match the watch head.

Baltic all day long, the Longuines looks to me like one more diver in the market…

That's a really good comment about the similarity of the hour and minute hands on the Baltic - hadn't considered that before. The Baltic should steal the handset of the Omega Seamaster 300 (the heritage one), as it looks very similar. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for this interesting comparison. Both watches are currently on my want-list. Although I am a fan of Longines (I already have a „normal“ Conquest), I think the Baltic will be my next purchase. This vintage look is just great!

Choose Rado or Squale if you want real diver. Baltic- is China made watch, Longines -Tries very hard to be a diver, but the design and finish are not so good.
