Longnor Wood - Adult Only Caravan, Motorhome, Campervan Site Review

Longnor Wood in the heart of the Peak District is a fantastic location to visit the national park.
Nestled in the hills between Bakewell and Leek, tranquility is certainly it's biggest selling point.
From fantastic facilities to friendly, welcoming and helpful wardens, we have only great things to say about our stay.
Our short trip was to relax but for all you adventures, the area is perfect for walking and cycling.
With Bakewell, Buxton and Leek all within 30 minutes drive keeping stocked for longer stays is easy. The plethora of farm shops or even picking up eggs at the farm gates with honesty boxes allows for none stop Cadac cooking.
It was a bit breezy during our time here as you can see in the drone footage. So much so the high wind warnings were beeping as soon as I left the ground so apologies for the wing noise.

Unfortunately we didn't walk into the village purely because Ally's back is still not right and she just can't walk any distance. When we did drive in, we hit the problem of a truck broke down right in the centre so police had everything blocked off. Love the site so will certainly be returning. 😍😍

Sony looked good, guessing when you walked the touring pitches after the toilets section that was the dji pocket? Certainly sound was not as good on that? Nice site though not far from us.

Yeah, think the rode micro on the Sony is a lot better than the dji internal audio. Fantastic site and well worth a visit Ricky 😍😍

Nice site. Would have been nice to see your arrival footage bearing in mind roads to avoid as you said. You quoted using Google maps, not got a caravan based sat nav yet?

This is the approach video coming from the leek direction we put out a week or so ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYfMqJaOiLB7hbs The site does give really good directions to get to them from all the major towns. What we did see was a sign on one wall saying there was no access to the site and the wardens had said that a caravan had got stuck in a farmers yard following a sat nav.
