That's because it's a puzzle/educational game.....interacting with the favorite characters and collecting items as you proceed.

I loaded this years ago in an emulator and I was actually positively surprised. I liked this village in the first level and how you could hide and interact with the buildings. The game is Well drawn and the animations are smooth and almost perfect. I have that game in my collection now. I was also positively surprised by Pocahontas. Changing to the raccoon and climbing trees and work in coop was cool. There exists also a very nice and not so known Mickey-Mouse-game with different quests. Cant remember the name, but it was US only. Mickey's Challenge or something.

Wow so the reward for beating this game is to dance again only with the beast in human form. I want my money back lol

After the arduous level with Philippe, I was so expecting there to be just ANOTHER level where Belle would have to rush to the highest point of the castle, to get to Beast before Gaston would hunt him down. I forgot, they only armed Belle with the royal princess walk, jumping and ducking birds/bats, lol.

I was terrified of this game growing up and crazy thing is I was so excited to play it because Beauty and the Beast is my fav Disney movie. I hated the way she moves, the way she sounded when she got hit and how she looks stuck in the air when she jumped and when she falls in the water in the first level, her face looked creepy to me. I left everyone confused when I would cry everytime I got to that part. And you can’t attack!! Smh

🎮 Comment Well, this is the kind of game that was supposed to target girls I guess. It's an adventure-ish type of game. You have no attack at all and all you can do is duck and jump over obstacles. Yawn. Pretty sure girls at the time also preferred playing the Beast game.
