My all time favorite Crash Bandicoot game. The nostalgia! I played this game even before the first one and it was the first full game I played on PS1, so I’ll admit I’m biased. I think Crash 1, 2, and 3 (Warped) is the perfect trilogy.

After Crash 1, Tawna left Crash for Pinstripe. Coco is N. Brio's creation to give Crash company. Crash 2 takes place after a one year time skip.

Crash 4 (kinda) explains Coco’s origins in the flashback tapes. She was created right after Crash escaped the castle during the events of the first game, Cortex originally planned to use her as a weapon against Crash but she was way too smart to fall for his tricks.

This game perfected the Crash formula and was a big step up from the first game. No passwords, no saving after bonus rounds, better controls, more level variety, and overall a better soundtrack. Crash 3 is still better to me tho
