The regular stages can be played as normal race mode, time challenge and CNK mode. With time challenge you have to collect as many time boxes as possible which will freeze time. If you complete the 3 laps (and place first) within the assigned time, you win. With CNK mode, you have to collect the 3 letters C-N-K which are often times a little hidden throughout the stage. Collect all 3 and place first to win. I found most of the tracks quite unique and fun to play and even though I wasn't the biggest fan of playing every stage 3 times to win on all 3 modes... I thought it was a better thing to do than these racing games which force you to play on 50, 100 and 150cc. What's important to note is that if you collect 10 apples, your driving speed will slightly increase and your power-ups will become stronger. This is crucial to know to make it through stages. I played as the girl character for the most part and the reason I did that was because she had the best control out of all three. Despite her being "easy" mode, my main interest was wanting to provide gameplay where I'm hitting the least amount of walls possible and where the driving and drifting just looks smooth and pleasurable. Anyway this longplay features all racing tracks completed, all time challenges and CNK's acquired, all bosses, all gem tournaments as well as the normal and true ending of the game. I'll be playing the other Crash racing game for the GameCube soon and it looks much better.. but mind you, this was released in 2003 so it's a pretty early title for the system. They done well.

I personally switch between Crash, Coco and Crunch whoever I feel like racing as at certain tracks. Truly an underrated Crash racing game along with Tag Team Racing (which is quite different but I still liked it)

Yep. If it weren't for the N. Sane Trilogy and CTR: NF then there would be no Crash 4. I would love to see games like Twinsanity and TWoC be remade from the ground up. Mostly Twinsanity because the boat load of unused content that didn't saw the light of day.

I haven't played the Xbox version, but I've played both the Gamecube and PS2 versions, and from what it seems, Gamecube is the definitive version. In fact, I'm pretty sure a lot of the common criticisms (stiff controls, long load times, etc.) stem from the PS2 version. I'm guessing PS2 was the first release, Xbox was somewhere in the middle, and Gamecube was last.
