I love this game because it's so easy and doesn't feature any backtracking or stage repeats. It's often called Crash Bandicoot for kids, but there's nothiung wrong with enjoying this one as an adult lol. This longplay features all stages done with pretty much perfect gameplay meaning I pick up all of the stars and don't get hit. The footage is emulated so it's nothing impressive due to TAS, but I do like how seamless the footage looks. There's also a time trial mode which just repeats stages and unlocks special costumes, but it didn't feel worth including. Both the PlayStation and Dreamcast version are slightly different so they'll be played separately some day. If you read this comment late.. fair chance we already have the other versions up!

Play the PC version. It's in HD, 60 fps, has great music and there are also HD texture packs from fans. It's also identical to Dreamcast and N64.

Fun fact: This game contains corrupted, glitched music. It is supposed to be a midi version of the PC version's music (which is really great, btw!) but was imported by the developers faulty. It also contains a few new songs exclusive to the N64 version, that are to this day not as audible as they were intended by the composer. There is a lot of info about that on the game's TCRF page. It's really wild!

That's really crazy! I mean, it's clear that the N64 version's music must be in midi form, and the composer must have downgraded it flawlessly in stripped down midi form according to TCRF, and yet the developers converted it incorrectly, lol.

It's crazy what you can find out on the cutting room floor. Apparently the entire script for rayman 2 can be found in the ROM. Not as interesting as the music getting messed up but still pretty weird

The level design in this game is fantastic the animation and art style are top notch! This a nice lil gem of a game for the N64 and 1 of the better Disney titles on the console!

You should have played the PC or Dreamcast version, it has really good music. The N64 version is a somewhat sluggish port with corrupted, bugged music...

Oh, yeah the PC version had an epic OST! Especially the Gyro lab theme is stuck in my head after all these years.

You know, I really have to question the logic of people who call this a Crash Bandicoot clone Like .. do they not realize that the Crash Bandicoot games on PS1 took some very obvious cues from the Mario series ?

.... It's clearly a crash clone. Some segments are so egregiously influenced by crash that to deny it is being willfully ignorant. Crash games don't play like Mario, their gameplay is distinctive. This game plays like crash. That's not to take away from this game - it looks pretty great.
