Longplay of Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness [HD]

This is a pretty awesome game that quickly gets ruined by forcing the player to re-do previous stages under time trial conditions to progress through the rest of the story. As tempting as it is to collect all of the pac dots and fruits in the first run, it's pointless doing so because there's always a few dots and fruits hidden behind a door that you can't open yet. The door is unlocked with a key obtained by defeating Gobblin. This is basically the part where the game tells you to go back and play the entire game all over again because you don't have enough level completion stars for the final boss so you're forced to re-do earlier stages and collect all dots and fruits with the newly obtained key. The good news is that the final boss doesn't require you to re-do *all* stages, but the good majority of it. So you're free to pick which stages you want to 100%. I would suggest just doing the early stages as they are the easiest. So in short, this longplay required me to play a lot of stages three times. Once normally, once for time trial and once more for collecting everything. I've made some edits in this video to showcase each stage just once during the first run. It didn't feel right to show the 100% run because you don't have access to that special key until after defeating Gobblin and I figured it'd be confusing to some viewers. It seems that the PSX and Dreamcast version feature more stages and therefore possibly less stage re-do's necessary, but I haven't looked too deeply into it. Overall I think it makes for a fun game on a rainy day especially if you like 100%'ing games, but it feels cheap to push it onto it's casual audience that might prefer linear playthroughs.

This is a pretty cool Pac-Man game… and you don’t even play as him! You play as Ms. Pac-Man and the levels are so fun! The game isn’t perfect… but it’s such a decent time to spend on an afternoon!
