@@theoracle7009 graphical bugs, particle effects and lighting ruined, weapon fire rate changed, enemy fire rate changed, enemy encounters being broken, brutes aren’t supposed to kill you on sight for gravemind is a good example. 60fps and bare minimum texture bump don’t really save vista or mcc H2 classic.

When I hear commentaries of self proclaimed Halo experts telling that in Halo 2, you have to lead your shots, that shot registration issues and bugs are normal cause it's a "old game", I wanna explode. They never experienced a single moment of H2 OG. I hope that Insignia will allow us to truly experience Halo 2's online.

I forgot how fun High Charity was and how gutted I was when the Brutes slaughtered the Councilors. Though Combat Evolved and ODST are my favourites in terms of atmosphere, I played the crap out of this game. It expanded the Covenant and introduced some classic weapons like the BR55, Covenant Carbine and Energy Sword. Along with of course "The Arbiter" aka Thel Vadam. Soundtrack favourites include: In Amber Clad Heavy Price Paid Mjolnir Mix Earth City

@1:42:20 when the Warthog comes roaring in front behind, crashes into Chief, then YOLOs itself off the cliffside. I love how Chief sits there for a second like, "Did I just see that...?", then decides, "Yup," and goes back to the battle. Best scene in the video so far! :D

I just noticed that on the original Halo 2, when the chapter phrases appear, the black bar appears on the top and bottom of the screen which makes the game feel more cinematic. I also have noticed the black bars to appear on the cutscenes. In the MCC collection of Halo 2 and Halo 2 Anniversary, I notice that the chapter phrases still appear, but the black bar does not appear in the chapter phrases. In the original cutscenes for the MCC Collection, the black bars are not there as well.

Great capture. This has been a wonderful video to reference for how the original game looked on real hardware back then. Even today with tons of fixes, the MCC version (non-anniversary graphics) is still lacking, especially in the dynamic shadows department. Crazy.

Come to think of it, I was 12 years old when my brother got the Original Xbox in 2009 I was introduced halo CE and played that game thousand times until I remember every layout, dialogue, and plot. The finny thing is I never played halo 2 all those years ago, until halo MCC came out to PC on steam and I like it. We don't have it anymore since 2010 but I'm even thinking about considering getting the original Xbox for old time sake and nostalgia just feel like being a kid again and there is nothing wrong with that, something we all missed ya know??

the og Xbox was good and all but why would you get the og Xbox in 2009 when the Xbox 360 released in 2005, they were the same price aswell, also if your considering playing on Xbox again then the Xbox 360 was backwards compatible with halo ce and halo 2 so it makes no sense to get that instead of 360

Hell Halo CE and Reach never even had bosses. The QTE boss would be a problem if the older games actually did boss fights correctly, which they didn't

Also nice double standards guys. Halo 4 and Halo 2 has so much in common, more than you would like to admit. Brutes are worse than Knight's. Atleast knights were fun to fight. They both are lacking ammo, but atleast in Halo 4, all weapons are actually good. And UNSC weapons are generously scattered over the levels. They both have bumrush enemies but atleast 4's is faster to kill. In fact Halo 4 actually does some stuff better. But I know you won't ever acknowledge it, because Halo 2 is your childhood so no matter what the newer games does better it'll never be better in your mind.
