This Mario Party doesn't really seem to have a story mode but it has a "solo" mode which doesn't offer much unfortunately. Nonetheless, it's a fun game. In this video I show off all solo mode maps, all party mode maps and all minigames. I've never included a segment with all minigames in my Mario Party games before, but I think it's better to do so. I'll be re-doing MP4 and MP5 in the same format sometime. Anyway, please check out the timecodes to navigate yourself. I've accidentally left in a 3 minute segment of me quitting a Solo mode map which I can't edit out using KZbin editor so sorry for that.

I have a bit of a Mandela Effect in regards to this game. I could have sworn the story about the sun and moon and day and night cycles was more involved, that it was about the characters having to collect stars to fix things because Brighton and Twila's fighting resulted in the world getting mixed up between day and night. I probably thought this was the case because the menu made it seem like the world was divided between night and day. I assumed that the single player mode would be like a story mode where you had to get collect stars to fix the world and reunite Brighton and Twila. Though I will admit this would have probably made for interesting premise.

They are dumber than CPUs in any other game on boards and in minigames. They take half a decade to make progress in any given minigame and stars are often not their highest priority on the board

You make a good point. I have trouble with Hard CPUs in other Mario Party games. In 6, I can usually beat Hard CPUs like they're nothing. I wonder if they made them weaker to compensate for the introduction of the Brutal difficulty?

My biggest complaint, is that the Pal version, along with Mario Party 7, costs these days at about more, or close to £100! I feel that it’s unfair for that, because both 4 and 5 are at prices I can understand, but a lot of money for a GameCube game? Come on, give me a break!

I have a couple questions, one simple, the other I call random. Simple question: So why do they call them the Mario Party games? And random question: you know, years ago when I was a little kid, I played a Mario Party game where you played Waluigi, who, if I'm remembering correctly, had his own exclusive hammer during the mini games, or maybe just one. It's like if you were playing a Super Smash Bros game---let's say Luigi, Captain Falcon, DK, and Marth--Marth would be the only one who's got a weapon with him while the others pretty much just use their fists and feet. Does anyone know what Mario Party game I might be thinking of regarding the hammer-wielding Waluigi? Speaking of hammers in Mario Party, I'm actually working on an art project that involves Mario and Luigi with hammers. Can anyone maybe list as many hammer-related minigames as they can from the Mario Party series so I can use them for references and ideas for my project?
