Fun Fact: Meanwhile this game was released normally as cartridge in Japan and European areas, In America was a victim of SEGA's manipulative strategy to add "exclusive" content for the SEGA Channel back then. When the channel closed, The American version of this game which was a exclusive was considered a long time as "Lost Media", until September of 2019 when SEGA and Capcom released it for the MegaDrive / Genesis Mini. Update: According to SEGA Retro, the SEGA Channel service was a huge success in the United States, despite it was overpriced (practically it was the HBO of Video Games in the time). But in other countries, it drastically flopped.

Old comment I know but didnt know about the sega channel being successful. Sega was so ahead of the curve, they basically made the first gamepass with sega channel, one of the first to adopt CDs for their games with the sega CD, touch and stylus games with the Pico years before the DS, and even online gaming with the Dreamcast. Such a shame what happened.

It was only released on cartridge in Japan and Europe. In North America it was one of the games that were only on The Sega Channel.

Well, im going to try to Create a genesis Styled Interlude inbetween megaman 10 & 11, all about the Roboenza cure, as it was made By wily, it chose 8 victims, to join his new plan, and it was perfectly halfed gender wise. Robot masters 1. Oven Man: Industrial Baking Robot "A robot master built by Dr Cossack, he was built for baking purposes at a factory that makes bread, hes a gentle robot who is kind, however, after the side effect, he started being angry and more Sinister... As he scorched the factory with his weapon, Burner Ball." 2. Quake Woman: Geographical Research Robot "A Robot Master, who was the first robot created by Dr Laiande. Researches on the Quarries of the Phillapines, she was happy as can be, being cool with drilling, But after the side Effects kicked in, she went hysterical for all the wrong reasons. Damaging a village down her path with her weapon, Quake Drill." 3. Aponea Man: Brain Healing Robot "A robot built by dr light for personell with difficulties when sleeping, hes a guru, through & through, even when the side effect kicked in, hes still destroying a mall with a smile with his weapon, Memory Wave." 4. Stereo Woman: Musical Idol Robot "A robot built by Dr Laiande for musical purposes, she has a voice so beautiful, you'll cry tears of joy the moment you hear it, unfortuntly shes a victim to the cure, and now everybody's Crying in fear now with her weapon, Stereo Guard." 5. Barista Man: Coffee brewing Robot " A robot built by Dr Cossack, known best for his natral born coffee skills, every cafe owner were pleased to see him when they forgot to buy a bag of coffee beans, but the side Effect happened and the best he can do is leave you with a bad taste in your mouth with his weapon, Caffeine Blast." 6. Dryad Woman: Natural Perservation Robot "A Robot built by Dr light, to be a helping hand with Wood man, shes pleasnt, yet tomboyish, she knows the way of nature, just like Wood man & wood man says that shes like a sister to him. Unfortuntly, she was a victim of the side effect & now wants nature to take over humanity, wood man tried to stop her, but his Leaf Shield was Nothing compared to her weapon, Flower Breeze." 7. Alpine Man: Mountain Studying Robot "A robot made by dr Laiande and the first male robot she created, his brilliant stature is that of a mountain yet, he has the power of ice, he studies on the types of stones around the world, post side effect, he desided to go full elsa and create a ice castle for himself (well its made out of rocks but still) and guards it in a blizzard, protecting himself with his weapon, Alpine Blowout." 8. Burrow Woman: Construction work Robot "A robot made by dr cossack & the first female robot he made, although shes a wise lady, she is only wise in the ways of construction, after the side effect, she desided to destroy a certain completed construction stage from megaman's super fighting debut title, she'll make sure you gotten a taste of her weapon, Digger Claw." But it seems we were wrong with the numbering, i mean i'll still keep this in mind but expect the letter collectibles coming back that will unlock a stage & a robot master who never had a chance to shine. Secret RM. Bond Man: Adsesive produsing robot "A robot who was recently completed by Dr light, hes pretty much a good chap, and he got the cure, unfortuntly the one of the side effect, now he'll stick around to take you down with Glue Bombs.

is it just me, or are these versions of the games much more difficult than the originals? i swear there's a lot of minor changes that make things a lot harder; larger/wonkier hitboxes, less damage dealt by the mega buster (especially for 1 and 2), different and somewhat more unpredictable boss patterns, etc etc. maybe it's just a me thing, would like to hear some thoughts on this since i never hear the difficulty of wily wars brought up too often.

Having just beaten both versions of this trilogy, the Wily Wars are way easier. Hitboxes that I found too big in the original were way more reasonable. There were fewer times when I felt I had to tank damage.

it's a beautiful looking game that captures the spirit of the original megaman perfectly, sadly the music leaves a lot to be desired and the constant slow down can bring the game experience a bit down. All in all, the original NES games still have something unique going for them

the NES certainly has a special Vibe, but what I dont like about it is the lack of enough customization options to alter the waveforms. Practically every NES game has the same kind of "instruments". The Genesis' Yamaha Chip or the C64's SID offered waymore variaty

To unlock the wily tower I have to beat the 3 games in order? I finished all of them but in the order of 2>1>3 and nothing happened, i'm thinking on try again in case I saved in wrong files during my playtrough but i'm asking just to make sure i'm doing right.

You need a romhack fix for this one. Im not entirely sure but I think it's because this game was only released in the US as a Sega Channel download onto a so callrd Eeprom Cartridge. Wily Wars is the only game that "knew" that and could therefore use that to save data. This doesnt work in emulation though. And thats why you need either a Romhack or a Hex code.

I cant decide if I like the re done music. I mean it's cool hearing Sega versions of the first 3 games but something off to me. Maybe it's the fact I never owned a Sega so my brain is hard wired to like the original Nintendo music? Edit: after hearing Willys theme. It shouldn't. It's not the PAL version. It's the one that was released on the Genesis Mini. A rerelease of the Sega Channel US version.
