I don’t think people give this game enough credit. This has an open camera,over world Pokémon that don’t pop up, a sense of exploration,unique and creative areasand challenges, and a battle system where you control the Pokemon.Heck it even had puzzles and platforms. Everything many fans have wanted is right here and nobody talks about it.

Didn’t realize that this was the original pokepark (I’d only played the 2nd one at the time as a kid). Like a week later, friend shows up with his mom and boom. My mind is so fuzzy, this game was such a blur for me. I remember getting it for Christmas and spending the entire night playing through this game and completing it. I'm having so much nostalgia rn...😭💕 This game holds so many memories for me, and all of them were good ones. I've held this game so close to my heart, and for a second I thought it was a dream. I never truly played the game since I was too young to understand the mechanics, but I was so emerged in the beauty of the world and the calming atmosphere. This game and Pokemon SoulSilver were two of my favorite games growing up. The nostalgia from seeing this again is honestly beautiful, I miss this game so much. you have no idea how many hours I poured into this game... 😂 this game has helped me a LOT during our time in the hospital after surgeries, it's super relaxing and fun to play! the atmosphere is just so charming... especially the Beach Zone! 🏖 and if I remember correctly, this was the ONLY open world Pokémon game at the time, and a hella good one too! 🥰 this game is super underrated, not much people talk about it nowadays! I loved how they gave the Pókemon personality thru dialogue, and the fact that they used voice clips from the anime was the cherry on top! 🍒 really hope they can make a 3rd one for the Switch someday, it would be an instant buy for sure! thank you for this amazing longplay! 💕

This video gives me so much nostalgia I played this game 10 years ago, I was way too little to understand what was going on but I could play it for hours, just running around and doing stupid stuff Back then I was OBSESSED with Pokémon, not only would I play this game on my Wii whenever I had the chance, I'd watch the series on TV every day and attempt to read the manga which I checked out from the library (I was 5 or 6 at the time) This video reminds me so much of my childhood, brings back so many memories of me being obsessed with this game and the Pokémon franchise as a whole :)

With the mainline series, mystery dungeon and Pokemon tournament games around at the time, there was no real financial reason for this game to exist but they made it anyway purely because it would be fun. I wish there were more games made with that mentality now.
