Stages and sprites look awesome and the controls feel right. (Sonic 4 anyone) In order to get to the last stage you have to finish the game with all 4 playable characters. Amy is really weird here since she has no spindash. I didnt include all 4 seperate playthroughs in this longplay. Instead I combined Knuckles', Tails' and Amy's playthrough to one and added their endings to the end. The tiny chao garden was meant to be a mobile app for chaos that you trained in the gamecube ports of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. You could transfer them via cable. My favorite thing about the sonic advance games were always the background art in all the stages. I love how in advance 2 they start experimenting with larger backgrounds that have higher and lower areas to them like in Hot Crater. I miss when games were so simple and fun

I only have a few MOST favourite Sonic games, but Sonic Advance is one of my most favourites of all time, with Advance 2 and Advance 3. Sonic Advance was fun for me, and I like it since it was released for the GBA and that they mix the traditional Sonic gameplay with Modern designs. The music was pretty good in my opinion! I think this game deserves to have Positive reviews since it's pretty easy and not too long. And I like the characters as well! Highly recommending this game to people who likes Sonic!

Honestly, the Sonic Advanced trilogy is pretty underrated and definitely deserve a lot more love. I hope one day I can actually play these games. Definitely recommend anyone who hasn’t played to go play them.

Aw man, this series was the perfect successor to the original Genesis series. I remember falling in love with Sonic in the mid 90s, and picking this up in 2003 rekindled that energy. The Casino and Ice Mountain music really takes me back to those days!!!

man did they hit the mark with this one. while not as long as sonic 3 and knuckles, also not as quite as fast as the previous game, but man simplistic design, small tiny gameplay features, really made this game great. such simplicity like rail grinds, forward air dash, somersault, and even the somersault back jump, and the all so ever fan favorite the insta shield! just to add the cherry on top they put in a cheat code just so you could have tails run along with you for nostalgia purposes! damn! what happened? the only thing that hit this kind of love was sonic mania.

Just played this game for the first time. I had 10 lives when I reached Cosmic Angel #1's boss phase. Lost all 10 lives there and got game over. The amount of RNG in this fight makes it really unfair to the player. About 7 of the 10 lives I lost were due literally unavoidable projectiles combined with the RNG timer on his spike flip... Everything else about this game I think is perfect but due to that boss fight being so unfair and at the end of the game, I have to knock it down a few points. I'll give it a 7.5/10

I'm a chick, my namy is Roxanne and I'm 21 years old. I played this back a decade and more ago on my Gameboy advance. I had a red one, and a silver one with the black flames. If you ask me, I still don't know how the special stages work hahaha. I remember when I was so young, I would literally only log on to this game to "take care of my pets" players of this game know what I mean. Xddd i have memories of, 4-12 hours spent on this game consistently every day. I was never quite good at it, but I always wanted to finish it and beat the mustache man. After maybe, I don't even know how many months, more than a year, I finally beat it. I always played knuckles no matter what and nothing could change me hahaha. Now I play VI in league of legends. I'm proud I grew up with this game.

This game is absolutely marvelous I love it a lot also the fact that in terms of characters to play as Sonic Tails knuckles and Amy are the only one's in this game is actually very well balanced out honestly this one feels like a modern version of the classic sonic titles witch is absolutely brilliant thanks for going through the entire game getting all the chaos emeralds in the special stages thus finishing the game itself with the good ending is worth achieving in any sonic game

PS : if you planned to do Sonic The Hedgehog GBA, you’ll have to prepared yourself psychologically. I never played it but i saw videos and i don’t want to try it. EVER.

I adore Tails's Act 2 victory spin-fail at 58:07 & 1:02:45, for he's so ecstatic during his pop-off, that he then becomes so distraught upon realizing he somehow fell on the ground for no apparent reason. Him impressively immediately regaining enough composure, after the embarrassingly unexpected butt-first landing, to either scratch his head/ear (Can't tell which) or pump his fist, while appearing practically unfazed by the sudden fall, just moments ago, is admirably awe-inspiring. Though I do wonder how he tripped on such smooth surfaces? I don't think he accidentally stepped on his own tails during that spin, so that makes him slipping at that point more baffling. Maybe he lost his footing/balance somehow? Possibly from getting too excited, and thus popping off a little too hard? Perhaps his shoes didn't quite have the sturdy grip he needed for solidly pulling off that kind of maneuver? Might he have been exhausted from all of the running acrobatics beforehand?
