I just found this game, I had to be like 6-7 years old when my parents bought the genesis for my brother at Kmart or Hastings can’t remember and I use to sneak play this lol 😆 man the nostalgia and now I found out the name of this game

+thecowboy2 This game came out at the tail end of the Genesis' lifespan. Sega was packing as much into the game as they could.

I only got to play 1. This is the first time seeing Part 2. No title screen giving back story like 1 did so here I am clueless. Can see baddies are insects instead of hacked robots and even that leaves me scratching my head. Can see excavation method was pushed heavily. Possibly fall pits too but can't tell. Pretty uneventful final boss and end screen. Mixed feelings overall. This felt more like an expansion pack of Part 1 than an actual Part 2

When I was subbed to a Playstation 2 mag for a while, in one issue they listed a 3D Vectorman game as in the works. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vectorman pretty sure it was the VBlank Software version.

I never was very good at these games. I never quite reached the snake boss before I ran out of lives. In the 1st game i never made it past Day 5 cuz of the stupid boss at the end.

Vectorman 1 was more like Earthworm Jim 2 with it's sudden change of gameplay styles, 2 only winds up doing it for it's rollerblade and tank levels, the bonus games sort of count too but they're not part of the normal stage line up

Part of it is that I moved on to the Saturn/Playstation by the time the Vectorman games were released but even when trying them out I could never get into the heavy repetition and bland level designs. This installment only has a couple of interesting looking level backgrounds and the rest are just boring and lack inspiration in art direction. Even with the best looking levels the game-play still gets boring quickly. I appreciate that they tried to push the hardware but the end results are lackluster. For 16-bit software with rendered visuals and also excellent game-design choose the Donkey Kong Country series instead.

Vector Man 2 has very good atmosphere in the first 4 levels, then it just gets ugly and boring w no real innovation. part 1 is much better
