Very simple and fairly fun game. I decided to stick with Yugi for my first playthrough. The video is split up in two parts as it hit the 12 hour mark. I really do think I could've been much faster with different strategies but the FAQ I followed told me to do all battles with Yugi so he gets the strongest team as it'd become very helpful later on in the game. It did seem to make the beginning stages a bit slower and more difficult than they had to be, though.

I just love the build with Yami wich you can have Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Dark Magician of Black Chaos as a Team and then most the time one shoot all the enemys with the Special Attack Dark Burning Magic or Raigeki as a Magic Item. And overall love the way that you can give all the other Charakters theyre representative Monsters they had in the show.

When I think of the games I've owned for the GameCube, this one is often overlooked. As a kid, I honestly couldn't get into it. What I would give for the opportunity to play this again.

Wrong defenses! One more thing you must have more than two besides if you’ll be defeated if the one is in charge is defeated it’s game over also you should have more than two on your side that’s why they’re are there they supposed to help you!

Their monsters are too low leveled to make a good difference. There are some parts of this game where I'm battling an enemy team 4-5 times with one team because the damage I do is so low. The guide that I followed for the most part suggested to focus on one team solely and let it become strong enough to wipe all the enemies out.

this is one of my favorite games, even though the gameplay is relatively simple. You should have taken advantage of mixing monsters on the teams early on. For example, Yugi's Celtic guardian and Feral Imp would perform better had they been assigned to Shimon

They would've? Interesting, I didn't know that. I just followed a guide that had everything laid out for me. Everything worked out pretty well in the end but I wasn't too satisfied with Yugi's playthrough as I felt like it was a little slow due to my monsters being too weak early on

@@longplayarchive yeah, if you had noticed in menu before the missions, each character (marshal) is designated by a colored orb, as well as each monster. The trick is to match colors as closely to each monster and marshal as possible. If the color is a close match, the monsters get bonus stats that make them stronger and more viable on teams Ex. Celtic guardian's green-yellow orb is closer match to Shimon's yellow orb and would had received stat bonuses. The colored orbs will change gradually the more you use certain monsters with certain marshals, but the speed and growth varies and depends on how far on the color spectrum the colors are between the monster and marshal.
