Thanks for the very in-depth review! It's great to see fans of the classic MOTU franchise appreciate all the attention to detail we put into this set. I spoke to our design team about your issue with the Jawbridge and got some clarification on how it works. The mechanism on the side is not meant to hold the door shut, but rather to push it open when you insert the sword. You should be able to balance the door in the upright position on its own, then putting the sword through the slot would push the little piece on the side and gravity should do the rest. If you can't get the door to stay shut, check to make sure the table it's sitting on is level. The shield and sword on the door are a bit heavy, so even a slight inclination could cause it to open. Hope this helps!

All of the elements you don't recall from the original playset are from Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Grayskull. The Orbs of power were also explained in the 200X animated series (which also revealed the origin story of King Grayskull). That being said, I LOVE the scale of this castle in comparison to the figures. The Classics version is a really tight fit for 3 levels. I also appreciate the mini-comic figures included. Thanks for the review !

Just got my first one I love it opened to put it together it takes time people but if your motu fan a must have for all ages need a snake mountain now figures are mini origins like with articulation and great amazing detail for the size brings back childhood memories from the 1980’s

I finally got mine andd it took me 1 week to build.But it looks good with my mini 200x figures and the available figures mega construx have as of now.Some are too expensive on ebay like mossman and stratos,scareglow.but i have a nice set to make my castle look good.

The green figure is actually the green Goddess they also made her in MOTU classics figure line. The Goddess is an Eternian deity tasked with maintaining the natural order and protecting Castle Grayskull from those would plunder it. Originally, it is she who provides He-Man with the armor and weapons he needs to fight Skeletor; later, she guards the Cavern of Power where Prince Adam and Cringer transform into He-Man and Battle Cat. In the 1980s Masters of the Universe toy line, both the Goddess and Teela are represented by the same action figure, suggesting a link between the two. In "The Tale of Teela!," it is established that the Goddess is also named Teela, and that the warrior-woman is named for her because she was created from a portion of the Goddess's power.

The Green Goddess was released in the Classics line, she's a precursor to the Falcon themed Sorceress. in the og minis she gave He-Man the harness and weapons

Yeah, My Jaw Bridge won't stay closed either. I just used a piece of black construction paper folded a few times at the top of the door. Stays closed pretty well.

Exactly what i was going to say. I REALLY don't think he has ANY idea that this castle is based from the MOTU Classics castle. I'm guessing he didn't know about MOTU Classics or else he'd knew about every thing in here on the castle.

Long's Toys ....this does seem worth it! I remember the tmnt techodrome was also priced the same but waited and got it on ebay for like 60 bucks...very lucky. I doubt this will ever be sold cheap anywhere. My only complain is that they should really be pumping out more characters faster...their so small and the character line is hugeee!

Maybe that little black piece which is supposed to catch the door is meant to have an ankle rotated 90° backwards so that it points down- and not inwards. Prints or stickers? I guess you have less to do with Lego. Not only that they use sticker instead of prints, they also demand up to 15 cent per piece even for non-licence themes. In this case it would be well over $500. Be lucky that you have this alternative to Lego. We in Europe don't have it.

Oh my God what a great review this Grayskull is awesome love the figures 2 how they made them look like the comics I have all the original figures wind Raider and then some love them all love the prices I believe this Castle Grayskull is well worth the price will be saving up love what Mega construx is doing with the Masters of the Universe line hope to see more Ninja Turtles in the waves Masters of the Universe are definitely my favorite though

The computer was on the left side of the caste originally but it was a cardboard piece. The spacesuit was supposed to be like armor, say, like armor you would find displayed in a castle but space age.

Can't wait to get this. I just wish you were a little more knowledgeable of the 1982 vintage castle and 2013 classics castle. Most of the details you couldn't identify were there and it would've made this a more in-depth review.

The orb is the orb of power - from newer canon. The first toy version of the orb came with the second version of King Grayskull in the Masters of the Universe Classics line. The secret orb room was also part of the Classics version of the castle.
