When I went to Thailand I went everywhere, the beach is nice but meeting people is everything. In my experience the people never minded the venture, they love meeting different people

My wife and I are going to Patong on the 1st of April. Thank you for sharing your experience. Really excited to see what you've shown us in person! A lot of people say Phuket is overrated, but it is still our first choice and from what ive seen in your videos it looks like we'll have a great time. How long were you in Thailand and do have have any tips that you didnt talk about in your videos?

Thanks Ryan! I was in Thailand for a month. Phuket was great, but honestly there was so much I didn't see like Freedom Beach, Karon Beach and more. I did get to spend time in the old town and really enjoyed it. I would recommend putting Krabi on the list because most people seem to concentrate on Phuket and Pattaya but I personally enjoyed Krabi much more than I expected. A good tip is to avoid western food in Thailand. It's not that good imo and it's way overpriced. Also, 7-11 is your best friend. They're everywhere and you can even buy prepackaged meals in there that you can heat up in the microwave that were actually very good and extremely cheap. Have fun and safe travels!

@@BarefootVlogger We'll be staying for a month too. We did look into Krabi and it looks very nice, but we initially got excited about Pa Tong and it just makes it harder to make a decision now. I was thinking we might try to extend and spend a couple weeks in Krabi before going home or maybe coming back for another month to stay in Krabi in November. I'm really not sure yet, but we want to make a few more trips to Thailand in the future to see as much as we can, so maybe we don't have to focus on the perfect spot this trip. I'm gonna watch your video on Krabi now and see if maybe it changes our mind. If we did stay in Pa Tong, do you think its worth trying to find a boat ride all the way to Rai Leh beach or would it be too far and too expensive? We definitely plan on going to Phi Phi islands a couple times if we can.

Railay is definitely easier from Krabi but Phi Phi is equdistant from both. Good thing about Krabi is it has an airport making it easy to get to Phuket by plane, which is what I did. Flights are pretty cheap too depending when you go.

I’m sure someone has said this before , but if you don’t speak Thai you need to speak slowly man . I’ve been through all of Southeast Asia and what you need to do is rent a scooter and head north ! If you really want to experience the culture . I’ve slept next to monks , at their sanctuary . You need to get lost , don’t be afraid cause all Thai people are welcoming . Get out of the city man !! Trust me you won’t be disappointed ! You only live once !
