I have a feeling that because Vance is tied strongly to project 2025 and Trump will not only not let anyone tell him what to do, he'll do the opposite just for spite, that as soon as Trump refuses to do what project 2025 leaders tell him to do. Vance will 35th Amendment Trump claiming he's in mental decline. There by making Vance POTUS to carry on with p2025's plan/mandates. The wealthy backers are focusing more on house races than Senate races, which is strange. But, they need Mike Johnson to remain the speaker because they'll need the speaker to also sign off on the claim that Trump is mentally unwell and he would become the new VP. Given all of the negative things Vance said about Trump not so long ago, it was very strange that Trump chose him. I don't believe for one second it was Junior and Eric that convinced Trump. I think it was a suitcase full of cash from Peter Thiel

I will probably never vote for a republican again for the rest of my life. I plan to vote a straight democratic ticket this election. @@RogueCharizard he lied when he said he never claimed to want a national abortion ban (there's video showing otherwise), he lied about Tim Walz' retirement from the military before his unit was called to Afghanistan and he lied when he said trump transferred power over peacefully (hello? Jan 6th?) and don't get me started on Springfield, Ohio.
@physicssquirrelАй бұрын
@@RogueCharizard Many many things. Off the top of my head, the two biggest most ourtrageous lies were Vance's claim that he never supported a national abortion ban and his claim that Trump saved Obamacare aka the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In reality, Vance has been on record many times advocating for a national abortion ban, and Trump tried repeatedly, by executive action, then by lawsuit, then through the Congress to repeal the ACA. John McCain famously cast the deciding vote not to repeal the ACA, when Republicans thought they had the votes, and Donald Trump is on record dozens if not hundreds of times lambasting Obamacare, promising to repeal it, and expressing anger and disappointment that he failed to do so.

@physicssquirrelАй бұрын
@@RogueCharizard I believe that in the moment when he whined to the moderators was when he was lying about Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, claiming that Kamala Harris waved a "magic wand" to let in illegal aliens. He also falsely claimed that every issue from housing prices to crime to inflation was the fault of immigrants. The context: Haiti was hit by one of the most devastating earthquakes in recorded history in 2010, killing 300,000 people and leaving another 1,500,000 homeless. Only 11 years later, in 2021, they were hit with another terrible earthquake, killing thousands and leaving many more homeless. As in 2010, after the earthquake in 2021, the DHS gave refugees from Haiti 18-month temporary protective status to legally seek asylum in the US. This designation has been renewed twice and will expire in December 2025. Most studies indicate that immigrants stimulate the economy and commit crimes at a rate roughly half that of US citizens.

Actually I think all media have to report it the way it is. Unfortunately that "way" refers to the fact that there are lots of people who already believed Vance's lies before this debate. Some undecideds and even a few weak democrat leaners will be swayed over to rotten right by Vance's smugness and confidence. Debates are so useless when used as a measuring stick for who one should vote for. So even if some people think that Vance won this debate without imposed conditions, it does not mean that they will vote for Trump. I think the best thing to come out of this debate is Walz showing the nation that he is well prepared, down to earth and honest. He presented himself to be of far greater substance than Vance presented himself to be, despite Vance's overall better confidence and deliveries. I think that will produce favourable results in the end.

What I found particularly concerning was how ‘believable’ Vance sounded while lying through his teeth (especially when crediting Trump for Biden accomplishments and blaming Kamala for Trump failures. 🤬) I could definitely see less informed people getting duped by it. So I do wish Walz did push back a bit more on that, though otherwise he did fine. (Him ‘agreeing’ with Vance at times did make me cringe though.). I’m not saying they needed to fight or anything, the normalcy was good, but there should have been more fact checking. (Vance audibly complaining about the one instance of fact checking was hilarious though. Talk about self-discrediting! 😆)
