The northernmost inhabited area in the world. It’s located in the Arctic region under the sovereign state of Norway. The island experiences the midnight sun- 24-hour sunlight, in summer. In winter, the northern lights are visible. Another trivia is that there are more polar bears than locals and it is not allowed to wander outside the town without an armed Ranger.
