I'd like to see you do the same walk in December, as I couldn't comprehend living in a place with no daylight for two and a half months. There's the frigid bone numbing cold of winter and early spring... and with no trees, hedges, songbirds, or nice flowers, it makes for an empty desolate place to be stuck in. Even the grass seems to be suffering. Come November, I'd be on the first ship or plane out from there. No doubt !

I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to do that unless you have a gun, as the airport is outside of the safe zone. I felt safe walking in the area that I filmed. Enjoy Longyearbyen!
