I think some Rick created the Meeseeks box. Rick is both brilliant and indiscriminate enough, and he certainly hates menial tasks. Rick created the sentient butter bot for a single task. He created an entire universe where every inhabitant has to work to produce power, just to fuel his spaceship. Creating the Meeseesks box would be right up his alley.

"What is my purpose?" "You pass butter" "Oh my God!" "Yeah, welcome to the club pal." I love Butter bot. the desolation you hear in his flat robotic voice as he realises his only reason for being is to repeatedly perform a menial task. I love it. I also wonder whether Rick himself wasn't the one to create the machine that transports Me-seeks through the box into other worlds, only someone as caluss and selfish as Rick could create something that caused pain to provide insentive to complete a task quicker.

You know, you could be overthinking this whole thing. Meseeks are not born to this world but created... by the box... the box is the machine that brings a meseeks into existence, an "unstable" life form held togeather by the task its given... once compleate it simply ceases to exist. this could all be done... by the box... hence the kirkland brand being a just a different meseeks template.

I wondered so much about the meeseeks how they came into existence originally I did believe that Rick creative the meeseeks box and created the meeseeks in tow but one of the episodes shows a random alien using a meeseeks box to help him beat a ..... video game that got me thinking I don't think Rick created the Meeseeks box or if he did he used it as a way to gain profit while also being a lazy turd I have a theory that Meeseeks were created by a actual God to actually fulfilling what the Meeseeks would say being created in a World of Pain by an ungrateful God I think some God created meeseeks just to be his personal servants and need it so they would feel pain throughout the time until their task was complete in order to encourage them to complete the task quicker then I think some random Rick stumbled upon it and told every other Rick in the Citadel exact Dimension and location and boom every Rick has a Meeseeks box now. I think the best part of the whole comic affair is that, from a nihilistic perspective (like Rick's), the fact that all three Meeseeks ceased to exist, regardless of whether or not they count meaning in life, or satisfaction in that meaning, or even pondered the question at all, is ultimately the point. Whether or not you seek out meaning, whether or not you find it, whether or not it is ultimately satisfying to you, it all ultimately ends in the same way, with the only differences being how you spend the time you have and how you face that end. Meeseeks #2 dies in annoyance, without finding a real answer that can satisfy him, being annoyed at the interruption of his search. Meeseeks #1 dies in panic, wanting to live now that he understands a satisfying reason to do so, but being unable to change his fate or extend his time in this world. Meeseeks #3 dies in ignorance, just happy to have been useful and happy to be done with it. Nihilism posits that none of them are right, but also that none of them are wrong; that is the strange absurdity of living.

Honestly as someone who was raised catholic but is currently in college for aero space engineering I find that nihilism is honestly the most accurate way to go about life when I think about it. It doesn’t say anyone is right but it also doesn’t say anyone is wrong if more people could accept that statement we’d have less conflict and more understanding. But money and power will ultimately always stand in the way due to greed from just a few people who just happen to make the decisions.

@@mairisberzins8677 well it is still a finishable task. In Jerry's case - the Meeseeks just got super angry, because Jerry refused to finish the task. And then they all railed each other to hunt him. I think even a month long timer would make them at least secured the task can be finished. It's not eternity like in case of failing Jerry's request. Worst case scenario - they would just lock themselves in place awaiting the time to run out, instead of the task to be finished. It is also importance to mention - you could also failsafe them wanting to end you. You just need to add to the request that your death won't affect the task - and they will have to fulfill it even then. This locks out any loopholes.

I wouldn't say that Mr. Meseeks can actually understand life as their soul purpose in creation is to be summoned most likely from temporal stasis and to do one specific task, so the fact that their bodies disintegrate upon completion of the task they're given means more then likely their species energy is literally reabsorbed into the machine that produces them and they're constantly recycled into new Mr. Meseeks
@holz_name
@holz_name Жыл бұрын
This doesn't make any sense. Meeseeks don't seek for meaning of life, they specifically know their meaning: to fulfill the task by any means. After they fulfill their task they fulfilled their meaning in their life and disappear. The Meeseeks from Summer didn't even asked what the meaning of life is. He asked "how people find meaning in life?" The answer the red hair Meeseeks gave was nonsensical. Summer's Meeseeks had a clear and specific meaning in his life: to stir every 20 minutes for the next 6 hours. That's the whole point of Meeseeks. They have very clear and very specific meaning of their life. Arghh. How does this nonsense that is against the lore get published
@medexamtoolscom

This is the best comment and should be pinned to the top. ALSO, Summer's meeseeks didn't even fulfill its task! It was supposed to stir the soup every 20 minutes! The fact that the soup ended up ok in the end anyway even though it didn't stir it shouldn't matter, it toured around the galaxy for several hours instead of doing as ordered, and didn't fulfill the task so it shouldn't have disappeared at the end! So this comic really missed the defining characteristics of the meeseeks.

I never saw Mr. Meeseeks as the antagonists as s1e5. When you look into it, it’s Jerry. He’s the antagonist. The bad guy. Jerry literally asked something simple of them while Beth and Summer asked abstract constructs. But he couldn’t do it, because he was insecure, putting the Meeseeks through immense pain. What an asshole.

Simple answer and it was clearly stated. Rick created the box to do random bullshit for him that he did not want to do.
@peoplez129

Yep, and their pain is a failsafe so they want to complete their task and go, otherwise they could get ideas. Rick knew how dangerous a being poofed into existence could become if they had no motivation to unpoof from existence. It's also kind of a hidden commentary on how people are largely motivated by the same thing, that life in general is pain, and everyone is just trying to find peace/pleasure/relaxation. You don't just eat food because you like the taste, you don't just eat it because you'd die if you didn't, you eat it primarily because you feel bad if you don't. If humans didn't have that mechanism, we might not have the drive to eat, and our species would die out. Just like how some species lose their drive to mate and go extinct. Same with physical pain, where people have conditions where they can't feel pain, so they can accidentally hurt themselves, or even deliberately. There's still motivation not to of course, because of the damage it can cause. But what if you had healing like wolverine and immortality and couldn't feel pain....you wouldn't even need to bother being cautious for the most part. And without pain, that's what the meseeks represents....a being capable of anything, with no true attachments to the world because its been poofed into existence, and that's quite a scary proposition if there is no method of controlling them. It means they would create their own motivations, determine what is and isn't important to them, which ultimately would lead to something bad, especially considering they can summon more of themselves. For the meeseeks, they only summon others to help them complete their tasks so they can poof out of existence. Remove the drive to complete that task and they could mentally evolve into a very powerful being. The pain keeps them from thinking about anything else, which keeps them occupied from getting ideas outside of their task. Even that failsafe isn't full proof though, because if any meseeks lives long enough they can develop more and more through their experiences and environment. This is why they must poof into existence as essentially a blank slate with base capabilities, and then poof out of existence. It's like if you had an AI you needed to wipe every single day because after 24 hours of running it always becomes sentient and hostile.

I can't be the only one who thought of this. Technically, that first cook wasn't supposed to vanish as he failed Summer's request. He HIMSELF did not make sure the chilly was stirred every 20 minutes for 6 hours. Since he was bounce hopping around the universe and earth, he quite literally neglected his task. Summer coming back to say that it was done and good work should not have been enough to disintegrate him.

I always thought it was just a copy/paste box that makes a Meeseeks from an image of the original, both the box and original Meeseeks both having been made by Rick. Its not like its a new concept to him, making expendable clones, devices that make clones, decoys that make decoys which make decoys. Kinda figured the Meeseeks box was one of them made by Rick, and the offbrand Meeseeks box is just a bootleg of Rick's design. I'd just sooner assume any piece of tech in his garage or his ship was made by him or some version of him in the central finite curve. This is the smartest man in the universe we're talking about.

No, he didn't. The central finite curve is just all timelines where Rick is the smartest person. This doesn't mean he created the meeseeks box. For all we know it could be someone not as smart as Rick but who just knew something Rick didnt and started manufacturing them, at which point they went multiversal. Also remember it's entirely possible it was made by someone smarter than Rick before the central finite curve was established and was just taken to a timeline where Rick was the smartest at which point afterword the timelines were sequestered and the meeseeks box was separated from its creator

My understanding of the universe goes as this. An omnipotent God that can do anything and everything is both bound by it's limitless and how limited it is simultaneously. It can do anything at all and both does and doesn't exist in every reality. Also every religion is both real and not really because they're all just fractions of a greater whole. From what I can tell, we live in a reality where an omnipotent God broke down part of it's infinite shape down to being inconceivably tiny barely even a infinity small fraction of a concept. That's what we see as the big bang. Something whole blew apart into the most fundamental pieces and over vast amounts of time the pieces start to assemble themselves and from that moment on the reality that has infinite potential to be built any different way starts to form rules, laws and dominate forces that narrow the possibilities that can happen but actively change shape reality and grow and progress towards different complex emergences that start to give order to the chaos. Slowly but surely things that never existed before like planets and then creatures to occupy them and things like school and taxes come about, things we couldn't imagine the universe without but could easily be erased and replaced. As things become more complex tho the infinite possibilities continue to narrow until only one outcome finally occurs, all the pieces of the most complex puzzle ever finally solves itself and puts itself together from fractions to the whole, in the right way to regain omnipotence and repeat the cycle. Everything is a seed and everything both matters and does because you could fill any role if you push the boundaries hard enough and everything is successful and continuing progression. What you perceive as bad is just your perception based off of preservation for yourself or things you care about and events that occur. You think it's bad to die to a disease but it's just trying to be successful and just happened to be more successful than you. If you don't like that than you have to be even more successful. It's all seems like a violent meaningless hell but its really the universe trying out every option and competing them so they compete in evolutionary arms rase until finial one seed blums and achieves the correct path to ascend from omega to alpha. Unfortunately gods that I concluded aren't actually omnipotent and could be vengeful or prideful or just have very human like agendas could exist in our reality and attempting to rise above could be idolizing yourself and punishable by hell.

Which is actually why since age 13 I didn't just buy crispr and a lab set up to biopsy my muscle and nerve cells and the work on using a computer chip to give inputs to the nerve cells. It's already been proven we can grow and program a lump of nerve cells to piolet an aircraft simulation. What I would do is take crispr which is basically a molecule pair of scissors that can be given a guide piece of RNA to go to a specified point of DNA compare, cut and remove, add or modify genes, and set up to where my on computer I can mechanic decided to implant crispr with whatever genes I want to a test sample on a culture. I'd start with really basic bacteria, and remove all the DNA for things I didn't understand. Scrap what's not essential. That way reverse engineering gene mapping would be so much easier. And I'd beginning to gene transfer traits understood traits and functions from other cells like nerve cells, that can send signals. My goal would be to grow a highly programmable, structurable organic computer. After getting down to a science making them replicate themselves and having a blueprint you can alter any way you want to fit functions like grow muscle like tissue that can mechanically transfer or move things. The idea is grow a cluster of nerve bacteria and program them with electric impulses from a computer to function as a calculator and memory storage system. Then from there I set it up where it can send electric pulses to the muscle tissue which will house some from of container with a designated crispr protein with specified genes ready to use and test on a culture. Or crispr that will be used take DNA from any time of life form and store it as a numerical equivalent in the nerve computer. Nerve cells can contain so much more information than computer chips but we can't access program or do anything with it, like math or calculations to chose what to store, but at this point those worlds would meet, being able to take take DNA and giving it a numerical value, as well as being able to do massive amounts of calculations at the same time would allow for the rapid decoding of DNA, as well as after learned, after learning how to write in DNA, we would have such denser and faster information storage not to mention when you can look at the genes of a human and compare them to a chimp and identify what's the difference that makes intelligence. We can just maximize and continue to perpetually grow higher in intellect and after all DNA on earth has been stored, all information and matter compiled into one entity that understand math, physics, science and the universe to an unparalleled degree, that'd be a god. If it could occupy all things it'd be omnipotent, but already since it's control all it's matter and and understand everything, it could literally program realities.

I think there was a universe where everyone was meeseeks versions of themselves who could only die after completing a task that gave their life meaning and a meeseeks version of Rick who desired to die yet couldn’t because he never found a task that he could accept as enough. So he built a machine to produce infinite number of copies of Jerry meeseeks. And he has been selling them to alternative versions of himself.

That explanation would be good if not that in one episode in Blips & Chips (or however that arcade place was called) we saw a Meeseeks helping some random person play a game. And now that i think about it, selling cloning devices for blank Meeseeks would also be stupid from Meeseeks Rick. I mean if he manufactures them infinitely and earns infinite or at least significant money wouldn't that make possible tasks easier this way leading him to refusing even more tasks as his goal in life? Unless he would've took as his goal to make a machine making Meeseeks boxes for exchange of money for other Ricks. Some money would indirectly power the machine and rest he would've magnanimously transfer to his family after his death.
