I've watched every single Laker game because I really want to see Lonzo succeed. But I do have to say he looks like he's playing scared. A lot of pressure on the kid though, hard to believe he's only 19-20 years old. That being said he's gotta get some fire in his stride or else he will end up being a bench player.

Heizman he's game is improving game by game... I'm not impressed with his career night in phoenix... Suns just makes him look great that game.... but the most important thing is he's slowly picking it up...look at his game against the Wizards today... he's getting the rhythm... now talkung bout his form.. not concerned at all... he'll find his shooting touch soon

I don't like Stephen A. Smith, but he is right... Lonzo is not looking good, and it's more than just his stats. For a point guard that's supposed to invigorate his team, his play is too passive. People are going to come at him because of his loudmouth father, but he has to at least show more aggression in his playstyle.

The Celtics have a fine bench. They're problem is injuries, not bench depth. Morris or Baynes, and Tatum would all be on the bench if Horford and Gordon were healthy. And even so, our two best players in last nights game were rotation pieces. Baynes and Smart. Rozier is really good too.

Yeah idk what Max is talking about. The Lakers have one of the highest scoring benches in the league. I knew once their bench would come in they’d get back in the game. They’ve done that all year.
@swervinondemfoezfkasodhez4337 жыл бұрын
I agree, he knows more about lonzos brother than he does the celtics, the celtics bench is the best its been in a long time if the team is healthy including gordon, even with the rookies, they play hard and you never know whos gunna hurt you on either end of the floor.
@MikeM-np4od7 жыл бұрын
Smart comment. Most likely Morris would be the #1 scorer off the bench, with Baynes, Smart, Rozier, Ojeleve. That is not Golden State, but it is better than 90% of the rest of the NBA's benches. Plus fully healthy you could always sprinkle in a little Kyrie or Hayward with the 2nd unit.

''putting westbrook/harden numbers''. I mean I actually like Kyrie a lot and the celtics are winning yes but he really isn't having that good of a season the team is playing great and so is he but 22/5/3 on 45% and 32% aren't spetacular numbers... like doesn't Max even check the player's stats before saying dumb stuff? Again I don't disagree that the Celtics are very good right now and Kyrie is also but his individual season isn't really much to talk about I would say what it proves to me is that Stevens is by far the best coach in the eastern conference, as I've felt he was for the past 2 years

"The Lakers were able to stay in the game mostly against the second unit " so Max you wanted the Celtics bench to run the score up on the Lakers, there you've lost me. Irving and Brown played 2/3 of a game, Baines and Morris played half a game, Tatum played less than a quarter and Horford did not play. Lakers played Celtics bench for half the game and lost by 11.

He’s not a bust. He just shouldn’t have been picked that high, especially with all the talent that was available in this years draft. We’ll have to just wait and see. He was a good pick for the Lakers though, just not at number 2.
@foghornfoggyface7 жыл бұрын
But that's what a bust is. You don't live up to your pick in the draft and end up being a worse player in the years to come than many players picked after you which = bust. I thought he shouldn't have ever been a top 10 pick to begin with. The moment he was picked #2 I called bust so we'll see what happens.

@1Flyingfist7 жыл бұрын
Jerrold Williams Do you seriously believe that the Lakers picked him purely because of Lavar's hype? 🤔 You don't think that they sent talent scouts, watched hours of footage, listened to reports on his character etc and THEN made a decision. If you believed that Lonzo was better than Curry just because Lavar said so, that's on you. 🙈 Maybe you believed that Lavar could beat Jordan 1v1 as well 🙄

I'm conflicted on Lonzo... I believe he has the potential to be an all star and be one of the main guys on the team but I don't think he can be THE guy on the team. I think he'd be a great role player like JR. I feel he can be like a second tier star such as Klay is to Steph and KD. Again I just don't think he can be the central guy because all the attention is trained on him and he is crumbling. For that I feel is the reason why Kuzma is impressing the public more than Lonzo because he doesn't have the weight of the media and fans on his shoulders. Lonzo needs to learn to find the aspect of his game that fits him best because he was able to do everything in high school. In college he was facing a lot of non NBA talent and many of the ones that did give him a bit of trouble didn't even get drafted. He's in the NBA against experienced veterans that have been in the league longer than 4 years which he isn't used to. He's used to being the one in control of the floor but now he's getting a rude awakening to the fact that he can't be the star anymore. I wish him all the success and best but he's not in high school anymore. He was hyped up by his father, the media, and the public but they have to realize he is human too and not treat him like the second coming of Christ. This is probably the only time I will semi-agree with Stephen because as it's looking right now, he is working towards being a bust and needs to change that before it is too late.

@note2owns7 жыл бұрын
The problem with Lonzo is, his dad was steady hyping his kid up and in the long run its become a detriment to his game because he is riding the hype and not really putting in the effort to live up to it. Basically all the eyes that are on him should be directed towards someone that is truly worthy of the attention. Maybe the Ball family should stick to reality TV. With a character like their dad who piggybacks his son's fame and all three of his kids who have different personalities, it would definitely make for an interesting show. In fact they are almost like the Kardashians. Look at the money that family is getting paid.
@brentduanefoster7 жыл бұрын
note2owns Exactly! Not only that, but you have a whole bunch of stans out here hangin' off EVERY WORD Lavar says. Plus, Lonzo didn't have the balls to tell his dad to put a lid on it. So, basically, he allowed it.

I live in LA and get to see the kid play every game- he can play defense, he can pass, he can rebound but so far his shooting sucks lots of air balls and most of all he has so many free paths to the basket and he will not attack the basket and go for it but he will pass up a free shot to someone else who is father away from the basket. He is very timid, mild mannered and his passing is awesome but needs to drive to the basket more and his shooting is in his head now as there are lots of air balls.
