It is about Warsaw uprising in 1944. The crowd chorus "Warszawo walcz!" means "Go fight Warsaw!" Check out another Sabaton song recording from this festival - 40:1 (about Polish soldiers outnumbered 40x by German forces and still holding the ground).

This song is specifically about the resistance in Warsaw, so in the chorus they are actually saying "Warsaw, city at war." The phrase that the crowd chants is Warszawo, walcz!"(I hope I spelled that right), which translates to "Warsaw, fight!".

I can definitely encourage you to keep on checking out Sabaton! They have many, so many good songs to listen to! 40:1, Carolus rex, Bismarck, etc etc. A few are in Swedish, so have in mind to have captions with those ! And, as you can see here, they are great live, as well as having great videos. And, one last thing. Sabaton also have their own channel, "Sabaton history", where you can get the history behind every song, which gives the songs that little extra when knowing what the story is, since Sabaton focus their songs on historical events; Swedish wars and kings, and other war events from WW1 and WW2... Bon voyage exploring Sabaton! I think you asked as well about this video. It's from Woodstock in Poland, and the crowd is somewhere between 500k and 750k! Huge!!

Sabaton is a swedish band that writes and sings about Actual historic events, battles, moments of heroism and wars. They are currently recording their 10th studio album. BTW, this is not the current Drummer, The current Drummer is Hannes van Dahl who is married to Floor. Nice thing about them is that their video's never blocked so it's KZbin safe. (except for some Wacken video's that gets blocked by Wacken) If you really want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these: (These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use) [live at Woodstock 2012]: 40:1 and Ghost Division [Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krieg (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling [Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama and The lost betallion [Music Video's]: Bismarck, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles, Uprising & Seven Pillars of wisdom [Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's) [Covers]: Kingdom Come - Deliverance and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell. Then they have the Metal celebration trilogy: Metal Machine (lyrics made up of out of song names) kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6e1i6ukbMpmnsU Metal Crüe (lyrics made up out of band names) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJOuqJmipcd2j80 Metal Ripper (lyrics made up out of song lyrics) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIKxh6WXgtmBm9U Also check out the "3 songs from Wacken 2019" video although this will get blocked, so just watch that one without making a video...

Sabaton put on the most fun shows, even though the subject matter of their songs is of a very serious nature. However, they always show how these situations bring out the best in the people they sing about. This song was about how the Russians had promised to reinforce the Polish resistance, but ultimately stopped their advance at the outskirts of Warsaw leaving the Poles to be slaughtered, men, women and children, by the Nazis. Sabaton has a history channel where this song is explained and many other songs. I was lucky enough to see Sabaton live in a small club, capacity 700, and it was a blast, so much fun. I believe the crowd at this show was about 500,000 and I think it is also free admission, but I am willing to be corrected on that. Oh, and the drummer wasn’t Floor’s husband, he, Hannes, joined the band after this.

You might want to check out their Sabaton History Channel here on KZbin. It's about the 30 year war back in the 1600-1700s. There's a TON of audience participation in it, as well. I think you'll REALLY enjoy it. Thank you in advance, Jordan....💛🌹🤘🏻 P.S. You should probably turn on Closed Captioning for these European bands. Sometimes it's kinda hard to hear the distinct words. So, you should watch Sabaton - Uprising (official video), it says more than the live version. Woodstock in Poland (now Pol'and'Rock Festival) is a concert mainly for those who had participated in the Wielka Orkiestra Swiatecznej Pomocy as volunteers a few months earlier, the concert was a thank you for their efforts. And it's always free! My proposition: Lombard - Przezyj to sam live version Szczecin '82, it became an unofficial hymn of freedom in 1989. It's only audio version...

The Second World War began with the armed German invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939. The Poles were first abandoned by the Allies, then attacked from the east by the Russians. In 1944 The Warsaw Uprising of the Polish underground took place to liberate the Polish nation. Throughout history, Poles have experienced many attacks from their neighbors. We were attacked by Germans, Russians and Austrians, thanks to whom we disappeared from the world map for 123 years. We regained our country after World War I, only to witness another massacre of the Polish nation only 20 years later. The Swedes also invaded the country. This event in history is called the "Swedish Flood". The strangest thing in all this is that the Polish people have nothing against Sweden, many people do not like the Germans, many people even hate the Russians. There have been, are and probably will be wars. This is probably about the way in which these attacks were carried out. As for the band Sabaton... They have many great songs. I don't know if it's from the musical side, but definitely from the historical side. I respect them for this and am grateful to them that they were able to make many historical aspects closer to others. As for the "Poland Woodstock" concert itself, now called "Pol and Rock Festival". It is a three-day annual event, free of charge. About a million people come every year from all over Poland and probably most of Europe. Ps. Sorry for my English :)

Uprising is about the Warsaw Uprising where the Polish resistance was fooled by Stalin, The Soviet army was across the Volga River and was broadcasting to the Polish to pick up weapons and fight the Germans and the Soviets would come to help but Help never came cause Stalin true plans were for both forces fight one another so both sides eventually be tired then the Soviets would come in drive the Germans away but since Stalin deemed the Polish Resistance as enemies of Communism that had to be take care off so Stalin order the NVKD to kill them then Poland eventually felled to communism and when WW2 was coming to a conclusion USA decided down play the Crimes the Soviet/NKVD committed cause FDR wanted to keep the alliance together. So pretty much Poland got crap on from the Beginning of WW2 and the end off WW2.

This is not a bad place to start with Sabaton reactions but if you want the best possible start I think a good starter pack of Sabaton is the way to go. :) So I will suggest 3 songs/performances/videos to showcase their things. After that, you are good to go in any direction you want. 1. No bullets fly, the animated story video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqTPgGBpfMyYpLs Since pretty much all their songs have a historic background, the animated story videos are great to get the context, and No bullets fly is something extra for sure. It's about an act of the greatest humanity in pretty much the worst possible time for humanity. 2. Bismarck. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYe6dpVjdtlrr8U One of the most visually impressive music videos ever made. And that is not an exaggeration. :) And a really great song on top of that. It's about the hunt for and sinking of the german battleship Bismarck in WW2. 3. En livstid i krig, Live from the Great tour in Gothenburg. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXPWZHpnhdusnK8 It's in Swedish so turn on the captions and be prepared to be amazed. There will be smiles from ear to ear mixed with tears and you get to experience what might be the greatest live performance ever. It's the story about a Swedish soldier going into war, the 30 years war that ravaged Europe during the 17:th century. And if you want to delve deeper into their songs, their other channel, Sabaton history, where they go into detail about the story behind each of their songs, is a great source of some light history lessons combined with heavy metal. :)
