Hi. I went to your link/site and listened to the podcast interview with the manager of this company. He said to wash the polyvinyl with only mild soap and water, no ammonia or bleach. This made me think of the type of mold we get on our house siding, especially on northern exposures. Bleach is the only thing we've found which will work on this problem. So I'm concerned about washing the windows.

Thanks for watching our video and listening to the podcast too. We don't personally have these windows but would recommend adhering to what the company says in regards to how to care for them. Like you, we get mold on our house siding, especially the north facing areas, as you say. But in our experience, we found that soap and warm water on a sponge is very effective in removing it. We cleaned the whole back of our home this summer using that method and it looks fresh and new. So maybe that would also be quite effective on these types of windows? Maybe the type of dirt / mold we get is different from your home, but I think what I would do is see if you can be referred to people who live in your area and have these windows. Ask them about their experience in cleaning them. We like clean windows too so I appreciate your thoughts. Thank you!

This actually helped answer a lot of questions about these windows. Do they keep the cold air out in the winter & late fall?

Up to a point as they are vinyl.

We don't have these windows personally, but from visiting homes that have them, I would say they help a great deal so you can enjoy your porch longer into the season.

Hi. I have a question and that is related to the insolation or isolation of those windows. I have many cats, some of them use to pee everything, so I cannot have them inside of the house, I keep them in a garage (when they are not outside playing), with an UC unit or a Heater, and it works. I want to buy a new house and noticed that in that house there are vinyl windows like those in the porch, the little windows that you can move. I need to know if those windows can keep the heat from Florida out of the porch, or if they protect from the cold weather. Thanks for answering my question! Bye.

We can't say for sure as our porch does not have those types of windows, but we know that those windows come in various tints to keep a porch shadier. I think these windows would help keep the temperature a bit warmer in the winter especially in Florida. You may want to visit the EZE breeze site to look at testimonials and such. I hope that helps and wishing you the best on your new home. We've been to homes of several people who have these windows and they seem nice to have. They give more options than strictly a screened porch.

Are they tinted?

Yes, Pat's windows are tinted. And when you stack 3 of them together, the tinting looks darker. The windows are really nice.
