I’m 73 yes old and have been using new holland equipment for last 50 yrs, in my opinion your not going to be disappointed even if you have spend a few bucks to get her in top shape, they are the best hay equip. For the dollar.

Gosh, ballpark? Guessing $1500- we have a 270 and are working on, and it was also full of old ickies. Love the chicken. Also their operator manuals are sometimes online, but Messick's in Mount Joy, PA is also a GREAT source of parts on the older equipment.

Great find. I've been seeing cleaned up version of this baler for $5k or more. I've been out of farming since after college, but now I'm getting started again on my family farm in Shelby County. So many things to learn that I didn't pay as much attention as I should have when I was a kid.

Ha, we're tempted to! I think we're going to go through the manual though and make sure everything is in spec before we try making a square.

We have a barn find 565 too- only with a 72 thrower, and perhaps slightly more used. Just as much chaff to blow off! We also pressure washed as the bottom layer of dirt was stuck on. Makes good bales and parts are easy. Enjoy!

Always find it funny all the nooks and crannies dust and dirt can get into. There's just no way to avoid pressure washing to see what you're really working with. Fingers crossed!

Those 565's were a beast they eat hay very well and are super consistent tying . You got yourself one hell of a find there buddy !

New Holland is the only baler we used on the farm . As long as you keep it adjusted you will like it.

Thousands of bales went through ours. Greased before every use. Kept the knotter clean, and all the other moving parts clean. We had very few bad bales.

I have the exact same baler! It will flat out make some good tight square bales! Think I paid around 5K for mine about 3 years ago.

I know up here in Canada- if its makes a good bale- which I see no reason why it won't- that's a 10000$ baler- like others have said- grease it daily before use and keep the knotters clean

Ours was part of a package of gear, so no specific price. We thought $5000 with the thrower would have been fair. Probably more from a dealer in as nice a shape as yours.

We have seen balers in worse shape sitting on equipment lots for 10k or more. That's why we just couldn't pass on this one. Hopefully it pumps them out with no issues!
