Rear blade would make quick work.do you get a lot of snow?

Winter is only pretty to those who don’t have to get out in work in it. No snow days for farmers

Appreciate it J. Andre! The goats definitely are appreciating the cover with the roughly 10 inches of snow and 3/4'' of ice we ended up getting lol. Thanks for tuning in!

Couple questions as a 27 year old who has never done any framing or flooring work, but i just bought a 1960 rock vaneer home. 1.) Do you not leave room for expansion when doing this type of framing/work? 2.) Would you do walls or subfloor next? 3.) Does there not need to be any support for the floor joists here? Why not? Thanks in advance. Loved the video.

Pretty neat t see this done ,looks like a job well done ! Is that regular rot from old age ?

Nice work! We’re elbows deep in our old house renovation also (although you guys are probably done and moved in already) and watching you take that rotten wood was like deja vu. I wish we had stud walls like yours instead of the solid criscross barn wood we got. Thanks for sharing!

do you plan on putting a vaper barrier down and dig some of the dirt out, so it is not so close to the floor ?

We're looking at a few options at the moment. Right now we're working on the homes skirting, using an insulated material that will help. Hope to have a video before too long on it. Appreciate the questions!

Looks good. Our horses paw at the hay and literally are magicians getting things open so I built one the same dimensions but all wood. No sharp edges or anything to get caught on. All landscape timbers for rounded edges.

Great video. I hope I won't be going to that extent but my new project, assuming my offer gets accepted, starts in the new year. I know there is rot in one wall, top to bottom, but I'm hoping under the house just needs jacking and I can save all the old floors (approx 1870 build).

could you have filled the space under the floors with a concrete pour? how do you insulate under the floors?
@cripplecreekfarmskyАй бұрын
Once plumbing is run, technically you could do a pour but I don't think we will. We won't have insulation in the floor joists but we are using an insulated material for the skirting of the home that will help. Hope to have a video before too long on it. Appreciate the questions!
