Robyn is such a gaslighter! She knew that Kody was at her place in Vegas all the time but then says she’s seen how destructive it is when a man gravitates towards 1 or 2 wives. So she admits she knows it’s destructive, does it anyways then denies it and causes the family to blow up. That sounds like an evil person to me! 👿 It answers the question for me though as to which blew up the family: being on TV or Robyn? Christine has said that Kody couldn’t leave his family i.e. Robyn and kids to go with her to Ysabel’s surgery. That was it for her. Janelle has said she would’ve stayed, but Kody started treating her children so poorly, which was a result of them not respecting Robyn. I think the clear answer is Robyn destroyed the family not being on TV.

36:51 From what I understand, prior to TLC, the family did not have money for food. That could be the reason why the kids were upset.

They had to leave Utah because of the show. Not because they were scared. When they say they "went public" they mean they started the show on TLC. The authorities were fine to ignore polygamists when they were just living their lives (or as Janelle says, when they were "quiet"), but TLC couldn't base a show on something illegal. Remember the show just started as a one-off. Then it became a series. Being celebrities on a hugely popular TV show, advertising a lifestyle that was technically illegal, meant they were facing an ultimatum.... quit the show (ie. money, fame) or leave Utah. Of course they wanted to keep doing to the show! They weren't scared. They wanted to be famous.

Reality tv book club would be great! Regarding your question on why Meri helped Kody bring in Robyn into the family if they were already struggling, I think it was similar to the wife that supports a threesome in order to "fix their marriage".

Kody and Janelle are only 9 years older than Robyn, Meri is 7 years older, Christine is only 6 years older than Robyn, idk why they say "10 years" and honestly Robyn is starting to look Kody & Jenelle's age. Kody saying he "never loved" his other wives is the exact same thing as that kid on the playground who's friend says "I don't want to be your friend anymore" so the kid replies "well I'm not your friend either, in fact I was NEVER your friend, I never liked you anyway!" Or that teenaged boy who gets fired from a job so he yells "you can't fire me, I quit!" He is confusing love with lust, they're not the same. Robyn was sexually experienced so he fell in lust with her. He loved all his wives, he loved anyone who was feeding his ego. Those butterfly clips Robyn had at her wedding were actually taxidermied butterflies, those butterflies clips were up to $400 PER clip. Meanwhile, Christine had just filed bankruptcy, was working part time at night and going to school and STILL couldn't feed her kids because they were on food stamps and Robyn was on food stamps but went on an 11 day honeymoon. Robyn often does this "baby talk" or this "shy girl" act where she plays dumb and giggles, it's gross. There's also a man from MT who's best friend went to high school with Robyn and the friend discribed Robyn as "loose." Apparently Robyn was hooking up with his bestie in a car, I asked to interview him but he never got back to me. The lawsuit the Brown's filed against UT was thrown out because there was never any threat of prosecution so we know it's bs, they were never going to get in trouble. I'm so sick of Robyn's victim mentality, sitting there 32 years old, pregnant with cold sores and blaming CHILDREN for no one being thrilled that she was pregnant. Who cares, everyone loves Sol now! Dayton was almost 12 by the time Sol was born, he was an almost teenager too. We've been lied to since the beginning, polygamy doesn't work, everyone but Robyn and her kids were neglected, Robyn brainwashes and keeps her kids held hostage, the other wives were financially abused, this show needs canceled, period. I hope you saw my comment on the other video, I gave Robyn's whole backstory. I really enjoy your reviews. I think the whole reading the book thing would be fun, I've read most of it already but hearing your take would put a different spin on it, it's therapy getting this out, Ko-Ro are the WORST! You know who's conscious is always completely clear without any self doubt of doing something wrong or hurting others? Who has no fear of not doing what's right? Sociopaths and narcissists, makes you wonder which Robyn is.
