OK... I'll bite... I love Star Wars: The Deckbuilding game... Tom mentioned its "catch up mechanism". I've played the game, but it never crossed my mind that it had a catch up mechanism. Can someone please enlighten me?

I think he e means that when you lose a Base you get to select a new base and activate its power. It can help you catch up if you select one that makes a difference.

What is the “come from behind” mechanism in Star Wars the deckbuilding game? Not sure what is being referred to?

It's a "catch up" mechanism. The player that has their base blown up gets to pick any base they want as their new one and immediately activate its ability.

Exodus: Proxima Centauri with both expansions is one of my 10s. As for why the 3rd edition failed, it was announced about a year after we all got our big boxes, by Board and Dice who absorbed NSKN. It had no path for old backers to get in, and was priced at basically what we paid for till then. The value was just not there for people who were die hard fans of the series. Would a reprint happen? I don't know, not sure if Andrei Novac or Reiner Ahlfors even work there still?
