Discover the vibrant streets of Cebu City, soon to be traversed by the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system! Join us on this immersive virtual tour as we explore key stations along Package 1, efficiently connecting commuters from the Cebu South Bus Terminal to strategic locations.
The Cebu BRT Project, initiated by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Cebu City Government (CCG) in 2012, aims to provide fast mass transportation through dedicated lanes and terminals, reducing traffic congestion and improving vehicular flow.
🚌 CEBU BUS RAPID TRANSIT PACKAGE 1: Package 1 includes four bus stations along a segregated bus lane from the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) to the Capitol Area, covering approximately 2.38 km. This package will also feature a 1.15 km link to the sea port road, bringing the total corridor length to 3.53 km. As the “Partial Operability Section” (POS), CP 1 will be constructed ahead of other packages.

I know that this is a good project pero Cebu is a growing metropolis and a BRT is a very short sighted development. They should’ve just built a rail transit like an MRT for future growth. Anyways, the sidewalks of Cebu with their tactile paving is pretty great. I hope they can replicate this in other cities like Metro Manila and Davao.

Soon, all of Cebu City will be beautiful, like Ayala Busness District and IT Park, even downtown Cebu City, all the way to the Cebu Harbor. Singapore like.

It is so rare to find people who see Cebu City the same way you do. A lot of Cebuanos don't see how lucky they are to have a city with both a water feature and a mountain. The topography is similar to Hong Kong's. Cebu City is lucky that in a few minutes to an hour, you can go dip in a white-sand beach in Mactan or experience a cool breeze in the mountains. There's a lot of potential to develop the city and make it like Singapore or Hong Kong.

@lakwatsatour I'm a Fil-Am. I was born in Cebu City, but my family immigrated to Los Angeles, Ca. when I was 3 years old. Los Angeles, during the winter time, you can go surfing at the beach in the morning, which is 30 minutes from where I live and then from the beach, drive to the local mountains about 1hr and 45 minutes to the local mountain to go snow boarding in the afternoon till sunset. A full day of sporting adventures. I really do miss beautiful Cebu, though. Thanks and take care. Amping.

Metro cebu needs subway railways. Cebu has very narrow streets even the highways have few lanes. Not brt system. Im working 11 yrs in cebu so i know some streets, , alleys in local downtown and barangay. It must be connected all 7 cities thats really good infras development in cebu actually.

The entire Cebu BRT, from Package 1 to 3, will cover a total of 35 km. It is designed so that if neighboring cities to the north and south of Cebu City want to implement it in their own areas, it can be easily extended.
