SEARCHING FOR BRANDON DAY 2: This 14 year cold case has Jared and Doug searching for Brandon Perdue in areas not thought of throughout Southern Oregon's lakes. To date Brandon's disappearance has local authorities stumped, but that's not stopping AWP from ruling out each area one by one.
18-year old Brandon Perdue’s last message to his 17-year old girlfriend was “When you find my car, look in the glovebox…” - In the 14 years of his disappearance, local authorities have not found him or his 1998 Red Honda Civic.

26-year old Tyrone Robinson went missing 4 days before Christmas in 2018 driving a red 2001 Volvo wagon Oregon license plate number 297HZG. Tyrone is a Native American 6’1”, 215lbs and was a member of the Klamath Indian Tribe. AWP later learned from authorities that Tyrone’s vehicle was located just months before the search began.

Brandon Purdue
Missing Since: June 13th, 2008
Missing From: Medford, Oregon
Sex: Male Height: 6’ Weight: 145lbs
Race: White
Age: 18 years old
Case Description:
Perdue was last seen at a Dairy Queen restaurant in his hometown of Medford, Oregon at 6:30 p.m. on June 13, 2008. He called his parents twice that evening and told them he was going to harm himself and wanted to say goodbye to them. The previous day, he had told his girlfriend he was thinking of overdosing on pills.
His cellular phone pinged off a tower near Lake of the Woods, Oregon at 8:00 p.m., but this was the last sign of him. He has never been heard from again. Perdue may be driving a red two-door 1998 Honda Civic with the Oregon license plate number XVB615, tinted windows, silver rims and no spoiler. A photo of a similar car is posted with this case summary.
Perdue enjoys driving long distances to relieve stress, and he'd told his family he wanted to get out of town. He wasn't known to be involved with drugs or alcohol, and he played sports locally at the time of his disappearance.
An extensive search of the area turned up no indication of his whereabouts, and Perdue's case remains unsolved. His mother hopes he left of his own accord and will contact his family when he is ready.

So true! I wonder too, would he risk putting something in his glovebox for her that could get ruined if it went under water? Also, how could SHE find his car if he put it at the bottom of a lake? I’m not saying it isn’t in the water, but I do agree that the biggest clue is when he told her “when YOU find my car”. Did he dump the car somewhere, knowing he wouldn’t want her to find him in it? Such a sad situation, I hope he is someday found and his family and the ex girlfriend get some answers.

He apparently wanted the girl to find the object in the glove box. So why place the car where it could not be found?

I wonder if he drove into the woods somewhere? Down a ravine. The fact he mentions taking pills makes me think he did not go into the water, but drove to a remote location and just took an overdose. You would think hunters would have stumbled across his car by now, but given the rugged terrain, a car can go down into a steep cut and it would cut off cell service, especially 14 years ago when cell phone antenna technology was less advanced. If he went into a deep cut or ravine, that's heavily wooded, aerial searches would probably not see it. Given he liked to overlook that one lake, what out searching within 100 yards of any remote roads on overlooks over that lake that have drops or cuts next to those roads?

I'd say we don't really have the sort of spots they have in the US to go off unnoticed into bodies of water, I'm in East Anglia and people go off into drainage ditches and rivers but the steady amount of traffic at all hours they are spotted. Most missing persons are without vehicles which are cases a sonar team like AWP couldn't assist on. Maybe more common in Scotland given the number of lochs but they do have water search & rescue teams.

So heartbreaking that Brandon Purdue felt so helpless at such a young age. I cannot imagine the grief his family and friends are going through. I live about ten miles from Medford (which is where Brandon lived) and we have so many lakes around here, there are many places to look. I really hope AWP are able to bring Brandon home to his family. The people they have brought home in such a short period of time is amazing. I have so much respect for Jared, Doug and all the people with Adventures with Purpose. The kindness and respect they show the family and friends of those people missing is so wonderful.

Love everything you guys stand for! As a family member, who STILL has a missing loved one (my step mom- Audrey Groat), disappeared 8/21/1993 from Montpelier, VT, and still has never been found... I know EXACTLY what these families are going through. My heart breaks for every person who knows the pain, sadness, and hurt from having a loved one go missing. I have lost loved ones too, just like everyone else, but with that, we KNOW what happened, we have closure with those instances! When we don't have any closure, don't know where a loved missing one is, it's a horrible, HEARTWRENCHING, extremely painful, sad and angry feeling. I pray for every missing person and their families! ❤️

@@BrookeKatherine. feel free to look it up. She went missing from the Montpelier Park n Ride (is where she was last seen), in her pick up truck. Which was still there with her keys locked in the vehicle, her purse was found in the bushes, near the tree line. We've done multiple searches. I don't believe she just vanished, shes missing because she's not yet been found. I personally believe her ex took her life and dumped her somewhere in the water of either lake Champlain, or he got rid of her somewhere on/near his parents land. The whole case is eerie. But it's been very hard on my family since the day it happened. She has 6 daughters and 2 step kids (myself and my brother), and a whole lot of people who love/care that have been trying to find answers and get closure for 29 long years. I should've said disappeared, but she's still missing.

I just took a look at google maps to see what the area looked like around the last cell phone ping. The forest is unbelievably dense and goes on forever. If he's not in the water he is parked somewhere in that area. The sad thing is, the way he worded it, it sounded like he expected to be found. He may be on a now disused logging road, lost to time. The whole thing is so very sad.

One question, how in the world do you back up that trailer so straight and so easily? The week after my husband and I got married we moved using a rented trailer that said “ Adventures in Moving” on the back. For the next three years I followed my husband pulling that trailer as we got settled in. For the next 30 years we had a variety of trailers, campers and travel trailers. My husband NEVER learned to back those things up, and once even got sideways in a drivethru bank at 5:00pm on a Friday. The very unnice manager finally came out and got us out of there. Brandon's girlfriend said he liked to go a place where he had a view of the lake. It makes me wonder if he isn't the lake at all but somewhere in the woods above the lake that would give him a clear view. Just a thought.

Just a thought as I have had two friends end their lives in their cars, is it possible that he intentionally drove off of the road in a densely forested area? Both of my friends did this. They didn't locate her for some time.

I am not sure how wide of a radius it is for a cell phone ping in a rural area, but bodies of water in that area would be what I would focus on. The rogue text messages could have just taken way longer to finally be pushed through the system. Also, the fact that Brandon mentioned to his gf when you find my car. It makes me wonder if his car is somewhere both of them spent a lot of time together, or perhaps he had an accident and ended up in the water en route to the place he had meant for people to find his car. Thank you AWP for all of the incredible work that you do and I hope and pray that Brandon and his vehicle are found so that his family and loved ones can finally receive the answers and closure that they are so desperately searching for. 🙏🏼

We love what you do for these families. I know what it's like to lose someone and not know where they are. Nothing seems to sit well until they are found safe or brought home to be their final resting place. I couldn't grieve until they were aid to rest. Again thank you for all you do.
