Thanks for sharing information. I never been salt water fishing but I will some day. I live in Kentucky and I fish for giant flathead catfish. But haven't caught a giant yet lol. Can't wait for spring spawn to go lip ripping lol 👍

You never cover line. I'm primarily a bass fisherman but want to try some inshore fishing this summer for hopefully some reds and flounder. What weight and style line would you recommend for throwing berkley gulps and maybe some topwater?

Hi. Your videos are great. I've recently started back bay fishing in New Jersey. I was wondering how you would recommend attaching hard plastic lures and spoons to the main line. Thanks

Want a good reel for cheap, check out Shimano's Syncopate. They come in 1000,2500,4000. I've had my 4000 since sometime in the 90 or possibly the 80's,it's blue and silver in color as the new ones are a goldish color.I just recently bought 2 more Syncopates,1000 size for my catching my cat bait of bluegill, sunny etc. I've had one before that I bought about the same time as the 4000 but lost it to a family member that thought it was theirs but it had pulled in many 15-20lb carp while trying to catch cat bait. All 3 models are $29.99 on Amazon, can't find a better reel for any less or even adding another $20 to it just to say "lookie here at my overpriced reel". The drags are not as strong as the ones you're using, but then if you're not using 40-50+ lb test you don't need a reel that claims to have 22lb of drag...as you don't need much more than 30-35% of the breaking strength of the line being used.

Willam money I’m going to St. Helena island (from MA) to visit my sister the first week in May. All the tackle shops I called and other info I googled said I’d be doing inshore fishing, a good 7ft rod and a 3000/4000 size reel. But I just noticed you suggested surf casting gear, can you fill me in a little?
