We are with you 100% we each choose our own view of a shooter. Choose what you want to shoot! Mike just shot a 2.5yrs 10pt and that excited him and we will air the hunt tomorrow on the channel. Already had the comments on the facebook machine oh I would not shoot that. Lol!!! Its amazing how some have a hard time being happy for others. Like you talked about in a way the older we get the more our view hunting changes. 😁😁😁

It changes with age and your availabity to quality hunting land. Some are happy with meat in freezer, some have to shoot bigger than everyone else. I'm 62 & just acquired my own little piece of land. That changes things. Our family consumes 2 deer per yr. We enjoy the venison. May be more selective now that i have my own land and getting older.

My farm, we look for "top 10 percent", which is 1 or 2 bucks a year (not saying we can get them, they are just on the list). Does, depends, last year was 3 does, this year may be 1 or 2. Buck/Doe ratio seems in the zone (1:1).

I think it’s more a term for people that are managing their deer herd. I’ve heard it for 35 years but if someone uses it in their own terms is fine with me. A shooter will be different from person to person. I have shooter bucks and non shooter bucks on our lease🤣🤣

at s minimum has to be 3.5 years old, and only a giant 3.5 year will be taken, otherwise its a mature buck only 4.5 plus regardless of antler size
