When Jello was describing the Crowd Cheer mechanic, it reminds me of the Dragon fight in 1000 Year Door, and the Cricket Noise Badge. I think a good mechanic to add to the Style/Cheer meter would be to have a Sound Assist feature where you can find instruments, and cassette tapes, and various noise makers and use them to add to the Style/Cheer meter. Each zone has a Sound Theme that you can use to gain more/less Cheer when you perform attacks and other actions. Additionally, these Instruments and Such are carried around by some Ghostly Companions, who are all siblings. Blues, Jazz, and Funk (The Soul Siblings, if you will) each one carrying a different Noise Maker and playing at a different pitch as you Combo.

On one hand, they could have done worse with "blood youth" and called him a "blood boy." On the other hand, the could have also done way better and called him something like a "blood prince."

Mary skelter is actually amazing, one of the best dungeon crawler, and despite the fan service the story is pretty good. Played all 3 games and it's an amazing trilogy

Just taking a shot in the dark, but I think Blood Maiden and Blood Youth are mistranslations. Not from Japanese, but from German. In German, "Mädchen" translates to both maiden and girl, and "Junge" to youth and boy. So I think it's supposed to be Blood Girl and Blood Boy. Do with that information what you will.

Don't localizers also take liberties to make the games better along with translating them? Cause Blood Maiden is definitely cooler than blood girl

@@akenohononiku916 I may have phrased that comment a little poorly. "Blood Maiden" is still correct. The real mistranslation is "Blood Youth." Maiden and Boy make more sense paired up than Maiden and Youth. Girl and Boy would be the most literal translation and wouldn't leave room for accidentally implying a creepy age gap.

I always thought that anti-form was the BEST thing! It looks so cool and (felt like) it did a lot of damage! As a kid, I don't think I ever realized I couldn't heal while it was active, so that never diminished my love for sora going all shadow scraggly at random times. Plus it felt nice in the early game when you didn't have many combo ups and the anti-form combo went on forever. Even during boss fights, running in and just having sora jump around like a lunatic is awesome. Thinking on it now, it kinda is a strict downgrade and bad thing to have happen strategically, but that's not gonna stop me from being happy that it happens when it does.

2:33:00 the whole change classes feels like it for when there is a character you like but it doesn't fit you party/play style, then you can change it. also feels like a new game plus feature, for when you just want to play with your party to be only your fav characters or challenge your self with only having archers.

funnily enough its not very hard to unlock all jobs and in 2nd game gaining other jobs is for setting up characters if you want to have archers there is at most 2-3 archers (2) mages (2) scientists (2) Warriors (3) and Liberos (2) counting the 2nd game at most since jobs are quite different from character to character

Having started this, you guys are poking fun at Jack for understandable reasons, but I honestly like the guy. He may not be a super impressive protagonist, but I've seen far worse out of Compile Heart's litany of fanservice games than "kinda generic, self-sacrificing goodboy being desperate to be helpful." Also, later he becomes a godsend with his Rapturize special that just straight up recovers SP for practically free. You need SP in the late game? Go beat up some trash mobs for a while with your basic attacks and just let him take some turns to recover his blood between specials.

Oh god, I remember trying to play this. After beating Demon Gaze I tried this because it looked similar gameplay-wise, but it felt....'floaty' in that way subpar anime-l8censed games tend to (looking at you EVERY SAO GAME) and I walked after a few levels. Don't make me reinstall this, I can't handle more jrpgs atm I already have 3 to finish.
