This was fun. Always love hearing Jello's take on things. Still holds up today. I feel like I'm on the same wavelength in regards to much being said, but at the same time I know I just like things for dumb reasons that I know I'd be getting dragged through the mud by the end of the day. Regardless, a fun watch of a game I enjoyed, and just interesting conversation in general~

I probably won't watch all of this, but I randomly jumped to the section on Origami King. That was awesome. PM2 was like my favorite game growing up and Sticker Star and future games were just... bizarrely awful...

Honestly the plot in at least one of the ice age and Shrek movies has pretty similar plot...A grumpy lone man wents on advanture with cemedy release character meeting the love interest who was socialized as something different than the man but than accept themselves...

I hear someone talking about Hollow Knight I teleport into the same room instantly. Everything is a Hollow Knight reference if you look close enough (at the bugs) Very fun vod to listen to! I should have checked the date on when it was live because I got very concerned about the covid situation going like "they were still having it that bad at the west just seven months ago??" 1:54:16 i'd argue that celeste did this type of game better because your actively avoiding enemies and obstacles, and your also collecting fruit (the oranges in this game compared to the strawberries in celeste)

Have you considered that being a metroidvania doesn't make a game a hollow knight ripoff? I've played both Hollow knight and both of the ori games and they couldn't be more different
