Easier for someone else to use the nozzel on your hair but easier for self drying if you use comb attachment.

As a stylist I prefer the concentrator and paddle brush method. This is so I will only have to use one pass with the flat iron.

i prefer the nozzle also! i’m not a stylist, but i am transitioning to natural & love doing my hair. As I have been doing my own hair more often since covid-19, after i wash & condition my hair, i section and blow dry with the nozzle & a round brush for sure!

As a stylist, it depends on the hair texture & the style for me. If they’re getting a silk press (or a flat iron) and they have a curlier/coily texture, then I use like the paddle or denman brush with the nozzle. Everything else, (unless they want a blowout) I use the comb attachment

It’s not a big enough difference for me as a layperson, so I take the easy route and do the comb attachment at home. When I go to the salon, though, I’d rather the stylist use the brush for more smoothness and movement.

I use either a Denman brush the same one you have or a round brush. We weren’t allowed to use a comb attachment in Cosmetology school. Yes they stressed sectioning like crazy. I have to section my hair in smaller sections because of my texture and density.

what comb attachment do u use for ur dryer ? i have the same dryer and i purchased a comb attachment for it ( the one that came with began to twist n bend ) but it wont stay on it

I prefer a stylist to use a brush. When I do it myself I just use an attachment.

I have seen several reviews on KZbin… this stylist hit everything right on the head….. pre section the hair… the attachment makes a difference, in addition to adding the paddle brush….. this stylist has been properly trained… I can tell…. Even her choice of words

Beautiful work. I remember in school I was nervous to use the brush but honestly it was so much fun to blowdry with the brush. The comb attachment is cool and I agree it depends on the condition of the hair. I'm still learning how to make that choice.

Hairstylist in southern Pennsylvania. I prefer the nozzle concentrator with the round brush with the boar bristles (bristles without plastic) I can’t do the denman brush because I hate how it tangles the hair when wet

So I have that blow dryer but the comb attachment for that blow dryer is all bent up. I need a new comb attachment, which one are you using? Or is there a comb attachment that you recommend for natural hair, one that one get bent up at all?

Really to me there’s not a difference. I’ve used the brush & concentration attachment, blow dryer w a comb & now I own the paddle brush dryer. My hair still gets stretched enough & one pass is all I use & my hair turns out bomb. Also if u set the required temperature for your hair ( theres recommended settings for thin to thick hair ) u will use less passes as well. The products u use play a big part also.

I think as a stylist its more professional to use a Concentration nozzle.
