Steve, If you were to do this again, take an old bottle & use as a rolling pin to flatten the shells, it might be a little faster.

Ah, you great giggling loon you! You are so happy and cheerful I think I will even forgive you inflicting all of those dreadful dad jokes on us. The eggshell table is interesting, and I have a suggestion for you when flattening the shells- so not use your gloved hands. You get sticky way too fast. Use the round flat end of a pencil or silicon handle from a kitchen utensil maybe. And have a wipe nearby to clean it between shells to remove any resin. I think it will make handling the shells a lot easier for you.

I've used this idea to make jewellery embedded small pieces in resin. I found that they are bubble grabbers so need coating or immersing them in resin. I've also used them coloured with alcohol markers with each colour in a different silicone tray then spray with poly spray. It looks like micro mosaic when you make the pieces. Time consuming but therapeutic!! Hadn't though about chameleon colours. Got me thinking about revisiting egg shells!!! Great video Steve!! ❤

Beautiful. How about greaseproof paper in a bag. Put egg on it inside the bag. Place a book or something with some weight on top to gently crack the shells. Cracked eggs can then be slid out and gently placed on the resin. Maybe save some time... 🤔

Great idea, i've actually done this before but with jewellery. I was doing an HND on Jewellery Design & Silversmithing about 10 yrs ago and we had a project where we had to choose a material that wasn't metal and make some jewellery pieces with it. I chose paper and spent a week cutting up paper and sticking it together with PV in layers, then when it was still a bit pliable I could shape it. I wanted to decorate it with someone and thought I would try using eggshells just like this, it turned out great, especially the bangles

You definitely have to keep that one just because of the amount of love you put into it and it's beauty as well.
