Kelly, as I’ve mentioned before, I’m a big fan even though I don’t decorate in your style. I love that you not only share very diverse types of DIY’s, you always give very in-depth, easy-to-understand directions to follow. This time, one little comment made me want to reach out and hug you. When you showed exactly where to to look on a ruler for the right measurement, it made me realize what a sweetheart you truly are! I’m old school and rulers are easy for me (probably because I was taught by nuns who occasionally were forced to use them for punishment as well as measuring😉😊), but I’ve discovered there are LOTS of us out here who have difficulty figuring out measurements beyond 1/2 or 1/4 on a ruler or tape measure! Without a second thought, you made sure everyone knew exactly where they needed to place their marks! That type of insight and graciousness is a true gift, even more precious than your remarkable ability to come up with some of the most unique and beautiful creations on KZbin! I just wanted to thank you for not only making it possible for thousands of us to create very cool, unique, AFFORDABLE pieces of decor, but for also being such an amazing role model for everyone who is lucky enough to discover one of your videos! Gotta run...heading to Walmart to buy a mirror! I’m more of a shabby chic gal, and I’ve had a roll of white shiplap contact paper screaming to be used!💕

It looks great! I used that same contact paper and covered my refrigerator. I was tired of the outdated gold color and wanted a more farmhouse feel in the kitchen. I then easily cut a half moon from a magnetic sheet from the craft store. I placed the moon on the fridge and now my husband says it looks like an outhouse. Lol

You are a phenomenal mind! Truly outside the box. I always appreciate you dedication to creating and sharing! As a suggestion I don’t know what you currently have going on in the way of business but this is the way business has always been run. Corporations buy the ideas of inventors and sell them as their own. The internet has shone a light on this and then an umbrella has been put over it by things like google KZbin face booke instagram etc. Look into creating things that you own and control so that you can profit from the top tier instead of the bottom rung. You are phenomenal!

I really liked the crackle look but I understand where you're coming from about the frame color not matching with the contact paper, however, what you could have done is before you put down the crackle medium is to paint the entire mirror brown to match your contact paper and then go over it with the Crackle medium and then the chalk paint. I think that would have been so so pretty! I don't know if you just didn't like the white paint or if you didn't like the black that was showing through. I think it would probably also be pretty easy to create that mirror that she challenged you to make but do it with wood. I see business is throwing out pallets left and right. I bet that you could get a pallet and cut a bunch of different pieces and make a box to put the mirror in. That would be gorgeous! I really love this project and I think I'm going to try it myself.

You know what I think I might do! I might try something similar to this. But something glam to go into my beauty room. I'm going to look for some type of glittery contact paper (or something like it). Cut that glitter paper into strips and I could even do a glittery type of frame around it. I'll be keeping my eyes out from here on out. Thank you for this video and for giving me a new idea to try out! Thank you❤️

Very nice ~ impressive! :) A thought ~ if you have a spare sheet of thin craft foam, peel & stick the contact paper to it & cut the strips. Then glue the strips to the mirror using rubber cement. (So you can lift & reposition if necessary. And easily rub off any cement residue.) This will give you a 3 dimensional wood look. Works best with lighter wood tones though, unless you don't mind coloring the white foam strip edges with magic marker before gluing. (Cutting unused wood paint sticks work too. Paint dept people usually hand me 3-4 to use, but I save them for wood craft projects instead. They add up quickly.)
