To test the coil Whine you have too play with 4k 120hz. Then its on the loudest Point, because then it goes more Voltage through the Coils. I have the Ps5 1216 Series and the Coil is at 120hz 4k not very loud, but still clearly noticeble from 6 Meters away.

The 1100 series is the best model. The model where they worked out all the issues with the 1000 series. The 1200 model is a cost cutting revision model. Smaller form factor and less components.

difficult to say. i am testing them currently. make sure to use your ps5 in horizontal position!! keep it clean and also keep the PSU clean! if the PSU is bad, it can cause lot of problems. Eventuell ist die CFI-11 die langlebigste und robusteste Revision der drei, da die 11er im Grunde eine überarbeitete CFI-10 ist. Das Coil Whine ist zusätzlich merkbar leiser. Die CFI-12 könnte im Durchschnitt über alle Konsolen der Revision nochmal etwas leiser sein, aber sie verwendet eben ein neuen Herstellungsprozess im Gegensatz zur CFI-10 und CFI-11. Der neue 6nm Herstellungsprozess könnte erst bei der Slim, also der CFI-20, so richtig ausgereift sein. Deshalb sehe ich die CFI-12 mit dem verkleinerten Innenleben ein bisschen bereits als Testlauf für eine mögliche PS5 Slim.

Bei der PS4 war es ähnlich. Die slim und die cuh-12 waren schon sehr ähnlich. Die cuh 10 hatte z.B. doppelt so viele RAM module. Ich gehe davon aus dass die 12er besser sein wird als die Slim. Bei der Slim wird es noch eine ordentliche Kosteneinsparung geben und die wird auch schneller verstauben und wird mehr Pflege benötigen.

@@McKuc Okay verstehe, habe mir mal eine CFI-12 vorbestellt. Werde die dann gegen eine CFI-11 tauschen. In deinem Vergleichsvideo liegen 12er und 11er beide relativ nahe zusammen, nur die CFI-10 ist vom Coil Whine doch wahrnehmbarer. Die 10er hatte ich deswegen abgegeben trotz leisem Delta Lüfter, die 11er ist vom Fiepen angenehmer. Aber die Konsolen streuen auch untereinander in der gleichen Revision, mal sehen wie meine CFI-12 im subjektiven Vergleich sein wird. Vermute auch, dass die CFI-12 langlebiger sein wird als die kommende Slim. Bei der Slim wird alles noch kleiner sein in einem kleinerem Gehäuse. Auf die Slim werde ich eher verzichten, hatte bei der PS4 auch nie die Slim. Nur die Fat und dann die Pro.

Some Nidecs v3 are louder then others. It is possible that he is also talking the truth. He had maybe a loud nmb and a silent nidec v3. I had nidec v3 that were really silent and also some that were a bit louder. Also the RPMs of each fan, althought they are the same model, do differ. Every single part that is built into the fans has his own tolerances. If you had 10 consoles in total this is still not enough data for a good answer. I had lots of consoles and heard all of the fans. Generally speaking: nidec v3 improved by a lot compared to the previous nidecs. It is possible that you find a nidec v3 that sounds better then the nmb v2 or delta v2. Most important is that the coilwhine got reduced. Compared to the coilwhine, every PS5 fan is okay.. guys please come down. Everybody has different expiriences and hears stuff different.

I got a nidecv3 if has that chug sound like its chugging a little bit but def not as loud as the v1 ive seen. Im cool with ut. Also your 1000 seriees ran great you just got lucky the 1200 is around 200 watts. The 1100 wasnt much further behind the 1100 was the one running at 220 to 245 on most tests. Again though you got a really good 1000 my dude. Your 1200 is around what it should be.

The PS5 consumes less power when a better fan keeps it cooler. In horizontal position it also consumes less power then in vertical. I have to test all 3 PS5 Models with the same fan to compare them a bit better. The fan itself does not consume a lot of power, but if it cools it better, it keeps the PS5 more efficient and the APU consumes less. The APU temp has a big impact on the power consumption.

Horizontal. The exhaust holes (PSU) are not blocked. PS5 can not tilt over and get damaged. Probably the liquid metal is better distributed over the APU (gravity will maybe pull the LM down over some time in V position). If you have the nidec v1, dont use Horizontal 180. On the other fans it could be a good option if the bluray drive still works.(i did not try it out) H180 = No dust will fall onto the bluray drive laser. Should be possible to reduce the fan noise by not screwing the fan in with the screws. The fan can sit in with some thin foam inbetween to reduce vibrations.

Hi! I have recently put a Delta V1 copy in my 1116a model. While it was in delivery I came across your warning regarding that fan model. However, I decided to test it myself. As for now it works perfectly, a nice clean fan sound with no other interruptions. I can't measure the RPM, but it's around 39dB at the side of the console. Also I have stress tested it for 12 hours straight (PS4 game). No crash or overheating warning yet, not even an acceleration of the fan. I'm asking, if it has run for so long with a PS4 game, can I assume, that it will be stable with a PS5 game? Also a more general question. As every revision got smaller and smaller heat sinks with simultaneously stronger fans, is it acceptable to put a V1 into a second revision PS5? I understand it would be problematic in a CFI 12 version, but 11? You're the only one looking at these issues. Hope you reply.

Hello. You saw how slow the fake delta was spinning in my video. I was qble to clearly see that its spinning to slow. You can check by looking at it or alos some people use there phones and record the fans in slow motion to be able to measure the rpm. The v1 fans are really not that good. Delta and nmb spin very slow and nidec is very loud. Every PS5 is different. I would not use v1 fans at all, no matter what console haha. You can get a v2 or v3 fan and use it in the cfi10. Another option to check the cooling performance is by measuring the power consumption with a wattmeter. Normally the consoles use more power when they get hotter. Compare the power consumptiob with the original fan vs fake delta or any other fan. Also make sure to use it in Horizontal position. You will not find cfi11 in stores anymore. Get the latest one and you also have a warranty. If you are worried get a warranty extension. There is a video of hardware busters and they tested the powersupply. It can not handle 350W for a long time. I think you are good. Dont know hoe the peak current spikes look like on the PS5 but 375W is around 80% more than the PS5 uses. Sounds okay to me.

Maybe your CFI-11 is worse or better then mine in terms of power consumption. I have ps5 1215 gow bundle, when I play in my room, because the temperature of my room is hot, the fan speed of my console increases after playing for a while. Is it the same with Series 10? The only thing I know, is that 1215 is the better version, because when ps5 1015 model came out, It had some issues, and then 1115 came after it and they fixed 1015 problems, later 1115 had some issues as well and than they fixed it's issues in the 1215, so buying an older version is a terrible idea, but again some 1215 models had issues with liquid metal, and sony is going to realse a new model in 2023 that doesn't have a liquid metal issue, am still waiting for the new model to buy it :(

@@RotemSagie-jj6qdMaybe you had a bad silicon lottery with your CFI-11 plus the heatsink is not good machined. Bad contact with the die. Just try the cfi 12.. i had all of the versions and no matter what version, some are very cool and have less power consumption then others. Just try your luck. The fact that they reduce cost and slim them down is true, thats why i would not recomwnd a slim version but the fats are all okay, when you get a efficient console to start with.

Clean it and put it in horizontal position. Looks like your ps5 is overheating and has to ramp up from 18% to 22% PWM or higher. My ps5 always stays at 18% also when playing unreal engine 5 games. Hallo. Ja das ist normal. Sie springt von 10% Lüftergeschwindigkeit auf 18% wenn man ein spiel startet. Sie bleibt auch auf 18% wenn man im menü ist aber das spiel im Hintergrund läuft. Erst wenn man es komplett schliesst gehts wieder auf 10%... Im menu verbrauchg die PS5 50-70W Im spiel sind es 200W, da muss der Lüfter schneller laufen

The PSU buzzing coilwhine on cfi1000 is so fucking annoying that I consider buying a new revision just to get rid of that. Just today again I heard it in the demo of re village! It ruins the sound totally if everything is quiet but you hear the coils from 3m away.

Maybe I didn't hear. And at what resolution of the TV did you test the power consumption of the consoles? 4k or 1080p? Because it also matters, because the console at 4k has to pull more from the socket than at 1080p (well, because the load on the components is greater)

I played in 4k mode. (No 120Hz available with the sony bravia tv i have) The power consumption in total is always around 200W when gaming. If you play with 1080P the CPU is going to be pushed more, and if you switch to 4k the gpu will have to struggle. In 4k the cpu will shift use the not needed cores/potential to support the gpu. In total the power consumption will stay the same. If it overheats, the (boost) frequency will drop to reduce heat + fan will ramp up (i guess) if the frequency reaches the base clock and the ps5 is still not cooled down enough. I like the CFI-1000 series coz it has a massive heatsink+ a louder fan which = to a win for me. I live in a very hot place(37°C most of the year) and I managed to YLOD and kill 1 phat Ps3, 2 Slim Ps3 and 2 super-slim Ps3. Meanwhile my CUH-1200 which is very loud and sounds like a jet or vacuum-cleaner stay alive from 2015 until 2021, fan failure after 7 good years of hard gaming. I've replaced the fan with an eBay fan from a seller selling dismantled Ps4 parts. It's kinda working now, but sometimes it randomly turns itself off with a single clicking sound. The noise sounds like how laptops click when they freeze and you have to hold down power button to force a shutdown. Or how a solenoid switch or relay click from a UPS or surge protector sounds. Its not from overheating coz no overheating error message, but more like a Kernel Panic. Sometimes it can play over 10 hours no problem but sometimes only 2 hours then kp. Once problem starts it can restart but shuts down immediately or after short time or sometimes it completely refuses to turn on again. What do you think Power-supply or dying Hdd? I have a 2.5 sata SSD on the way from eBay, hope it'll cure my Ps4.

it kan be PSU, HDD, RAM, APU, and so on.... did you ever clean your ps4? kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWqTdYmrialnrbc you can easily connect the hdd onto a PC with a SATA to USB for example or put it inside the pc and check it with crystal disk info. it will show how good the hdd is. the klickink is probably the hdd because it immediatly lost power during operation. this is not good for the hdd.

There wasn't much dust but I cleaned the heatsink while installing the new fan. Also replaced the thermal paste. Will I loose data when I connect hdd to pc?? I bought an external hdd case to do just that but afraid of loosing game data.
