I get depressed often and usualy watching my favorite youtubers, listening to my favorite bands songs, gets me through my depression, and this was the case, i'm alot better because of the pissitivity in your videos! My older brother is severely disabled and most people that care for him, go through similar things at home or are used to being around disabled which is nice to hear people going though the same thing but also i don't see many that are not going through the same thing and still like to help. OMG I'm doing NCS this summer Alfie! I signed up last year but was too young so I'm soooo excited to do it this summer since I have a long summer because I'm doing GCSEs. It's a great way to spend this summer along with going to YNOT festival, travelling to Germany to meet my internet friends and celebrating my 16th birthday. I get that this is an advert, but Alfie made some spectacular points. To those of you who are younger, TAKE EVERY CHANCE YOU GET TO GAIN EXPERIENCES AND ANY OPPORTUNITY TO FURTHER YOU EDUCATION!! I know some of you don't live in areas that have programs like this, but do some research and get out there. Trust me on this, you don't want to be 31 like I am, or even 22, and wish you had gotten involved. Yes, classroom education is extremely important, but streets smarts go hand in hand. While everyone won't go on to make money do the exact thing they love, the more opportunity to give yourself to learn more about the thing you love is just as rewarding. It's really easy to sit at home, but to get out there and start making memories is well worth it in the end. My wife has lived in England and Malaysia, and has all of these great memories. I have experiences in life too, but just I think about the things that I haven't done and really regret it. Never let anyone or anything hold you back, get out there and live. Cheers! - Matt

I completed NCS this time 2 years ago actually. Feb 2014 in Wales. It was such a great experience I learnt a lot. We got put into groups for the whole duration of the NCS course, For 4 days we went to Conwy Centre in Wales were I did blindfolded obstacle course through mud and water, Assailing, Canoeing etc all activities were to help us get to know our groups and things. After the 4 days away we came back into our groups everyday for a week where we were given the task to complete a group project that will help better the community. My group decided on chopping down unwanted bushes and redecorating an abandoned youth centre. After the project was completed it made me realise how much I loved helping people and the community. I would definitely recommend NCS. It was a great opportunity and Experience :)

One of my biggest life goals is to not let being disabled define me. I did NCS last summer and honestly it was one of the best choices I've ever made. I didn't know a single person before I went but I met so many amazing people and by the end of it I felt like I had known them forever. My confidence grew and I found out I love abseiling and zip wiring. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Team Supernova forever!

Plus you wouldn't really want to go away when your ill I think you would much rather be at home in your own space with your own things , as well they may be able to get a refund on the hotel.

NCS seems to be such a great company. Wish I was living somewhere in England to be a part of it. Well.. here is actually one of my life's goals: live in England. I was there once and absolutely fell in love with it. I felt so happy there, it actually felt like home. So.. hoping one day it will come true. Another goal is to figure out what I want to do in my life. I have some things I really really enjoy doing and there're even more things I would like to try doing, but I have no idea how they can become something more, something I could live with and still have everything I need... Like I absolutelly have now idea.. But finding yourself is a journey of a thousand miles... so, hopefully this journey will be worth it:)

NCS really is an amazing opportunity for young people to take part in. I took part in it 2 years ago and am now a Team Leader during a few of the programmes that they run! It really isn't cliche to say that it helps young people come out of their shell, because it really does. Over the weeks you are on the programme you are able to develop a wide range of skills and become so much more confident in yourself. I urge anyone who's interested to give it a go because it certainly is not something you will regret and you make so many new friends during the programme, and you can make a difference in your community! This is part of my life goals, I want to be able to help others and guide them in the most positive ways possible to make the most of their lives and develop as many skills as they can! :)

I took part in NCS last summer and it was so amazing I'm still great friends with the people I was in a group with, it improved my confidence so much and enabled me to get involved with the community and to help those who need it. I have the same issue with goals Alfie I am always ambitious because what is the point of life if you don't have goals to achieve? As you shared some of your goals I will share some of mine too oookay so: 1- Spend more time with people who make me happy 2- Get high grades to join the college I want 3- Care less about what others think of me 4- Deal with my anxiety problems and handling them very well 5- Never compare myself to others 6- Help other people out like charities and stuff I really think these are my fav kind videos of yours when you talk about positive and ambitious stuff you may not realize it but you actually motivate me to focus on my studies and grades so thanks a lot my friend, love from Egypt xx

I done NCS and I made so many friends also found new hobbies that I'm going to start doing which is rock climbing. I gained so much confidence and learn so much helping out at Epilepsy Society

My brother did a NCS project last summer I think he enjoyed it. My brother does have some anger issues and in my view it did help him as he became friends with some people like him. I wish I had the opportunity to do NCS but I'm glad my brother did

I did NCS last summer. I met some of my closest friends that I have and 3 of the best weeks of my life. I came out of it appreciating things so much more as our expedition was walking up a fricking mountain and I'm not exadurating either. Would recommend and commend it as one of the best experiences of my life I can't praise it enough.

I agree so much that having broad life goals (that are more to do with how we want to feel and be and spend our time) is much nicer than having really specific narrow job goals! It leaves possibilities open and puts being a good person before getting money, fame, recognition, etc :)
