I am a silent viewer who has been watching for over a decade! ☺️I had to share our tradition because it’s so special to my family!! Every Christmas Eve after getting Christmas PJs at my Mawmaw’s house, my sisters and I slept in the same room and fell asleep to the White Christmas movie. Then, in the morning we couldn’t come out of our room until my parents played a specific song (“Jesus was born today” by the Oakridge boys). My mom grew up with this tradition and passed it on. We only play the song on the 25th to make it extra magical. The anticipation of holding our ears to the door and to hear them whispering and setting up, waiting for that first note, is beyond words. They even started wrapping our door up so we had to punch through it in the morning. On Christmas Eve, all the grandkids stay in a room and do the same thing for “Painting the Town” by the same band. Now, we all have our own families and do the same thing. The music makes me tear up and get butterflies every time. 🥹
