Taking a look back at the officially licenced AAA (Asistencia, Asesoría y Administración de Espectáculos) wrestling game from Konami in 2010, with a roster full of then current Técnicos and Rudos Mexican stars as well as lucha libre legends.
The game features a full Story Mode, English and Spanish commentary options, a choice of arenas, the signature 6-sided ring, Mask vs Hair matches, Create and Edit a Luchador, King of Kings Tournament, Training Mode, Crowd Banner editing, Online Multiplayer and Single Player matches. Lucha Libre AAA: Héroes del Ring was released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

People in the states don’t really realize what was presented here. In this game you get a roster of guys that are now considered legends (Dr Wagner Jr., La parka, Cibernético, Octagon, Etc.) even guys that would become mainstream in the states like El Mesias (Mil Muertes). The announce team (for the Spanish commentary) is the legendary (now nostalgic) commentary team we’ve grown up with since the 90s who added their touch to the matches which both have passed sadly. This game is still one of my favorites to this day, super underrated especially those graphics for the time.

I remember being very hype for this game, waiting for it to come out and then all of a sudden finding out it wasn’t for PS2 and that’s all I had at the time being so disappointed lol. I eventually played it and it wasn’t that good so it was basically TNA impact.
