I'm not a religious person, but something happened to me over 40 years ago. I had a NDE. I was electrocuted and my body died. I came out of my body and the very first thing I noticed was that it was very peaceful and calm. Then I had a feeling of being loved and this became extremely intense. Somehow, I knew I was in the presence of the Source, the Divine, God, or whatever someone chooses to call this. This is the most loving, caring, nicest and kindest entity I have ever encountered. I knew I was accepted, and was receiving unconditional love. This love was so far off the scale, it's difficult to describe in words. An incredibly beautiful and perfect moment in time. Whoever penned the words God is love is absolutely correct. We are imperfect human beings living in an imperfect world. We aren't expected to be perfect. Just do the best we can with our lives. But deep down in your hearts, know that we are all loved.

I remember watching you on Duck Dynasty as I grew up. I remember when you went through your break up with Blake. Around the same time, I went through a breakup after I had been with someone for over a year. I was devastated. Since high school, I have been through rejection and heartbreak from relationships. I just ended a relationship with a guy. I’m in no way going to put him down because there’s no reason to. It really all came down to being unequally yoked, I am a Christian, I try my best to engage in God’s word, and spend time in prayer daily. When you date someone who doesn’t look at things the same as you on a spiritual level it becomes very difficult to be with them. I want to always have God first in any relationship I’m in whether it be between my parents and I, my friends and I, my co workers and I, my significant other and I, or strangers and I, I want Him first. When your relationships don’t have God first they fall apart. I was able to witness to him and plant the seed. He wasn’t interested at the time but I continue to pray for him everyday that he is convicted. Since I know that he will more than likely not come to me about that, I asked that God place someone in his life whom he can talk to about salvation. I have no contact with him anymore but he does remain in my prayers. I really needed this lesson, thank you so much Sadie! You are a wonderful role model!

Yesss Sister! It's so hard to understand this when you are broken and seeking to be made whole and that affirmation from guys. Not having a present earthly father, I fell into that trap and it only left me more broken. I had some amazing encounters with God around age 20 & 21 and he has continued to change and heal me since. :) Almost immediately after that I met my husband, too. 😂 We've been married close to 7 years, have two little girls and I can tell you, marriage is beautiful but it absolutely doesn't even satisfy either! It is a gift, but it really serves to bring out more of our brokenness and insecurities which can be a painful process, though with humility and seeking God and his healing, it's possibly to grow through it all and continue to mature in him and his love! Anyways, long message, but I pray that this encourages anyone reading this to seek Jesus with your whole heart! He will reveal himself to you and reward you with himself! it's the best thing ever :) xo
