Another happy CW trail. Thank you. When you were talking about Nelson the seal it made me think of Din Din the Magellanic penguin who kept coming back each year to visit Joao, the fisherman/bricklayer who lived on a small island near Rio in Brazil. That was such a sweet relationship.🐧💙

Fun and informative...a video full of both. June didn’t look very warm for Summer in your video. Nelson had lots of sense....the best of all worlds, making Looe his playground and being fed by the fishermen a very clever seal. Most enjoyable you 2.

From Goth to Seasalt Sarah!!!! I used to be a Mod....Doc Marten's (No, Not THAT Doc Martin!) to Skechers...how the time flies and changes us eh?!! Used to see Nelson in Looe Harbour whenever we visited that area, and read the book about the ladies who owned the Island...had a trip round it on a Glass Bottom Boat too. Found a purse up at Millendreath on the top there once! I love the view from the top of Looe Island. My other half dragged me into see Alien 3 of all things many moons ago in Looe...because I wanted to see what the inside of the little cinema they had at the time in Looe was like!!! Long since gone. Nice memories. Lovely walk once again! J x

Love Looe - went there year after year for our holidays. My Aunt lived in the town for a short time. The white detached house at 2.23 would be my dream if I won the Lotto

My lovely home town! Used to see Nelson now and then being fed in the harbour by the fishermen. Well worth checking out Evelyn Atkins' books about buying and living on Looe Island (We Bought an Island and Tales from our Cornish Island) and worth visiting the island too. If you're feeling brave there's usually one day a year when the tide is low enough to walk across! Kilminorth woods are beautiful too. Plucking good video Andrew and Sarah!!

Ahh yes! We knew about the ability to walk at low tide but I guess you would have to be prepared to get wet feet if you timed it wrong!! Sarah :)

Lovely video. Even though I walk my dogs at West Looe and Kilminorth two or three times a week, it was still nice to follow you, especially as it is raining today. Watergate is beautiful. I can only manage lsmall sections now. Think that wall is part of the Giants hedge maybe.

@@CornishWalkingTrails I wish I could, but we have actually had mostly lovely weather during our three summer vacation walks along the whole coast of North and West Cornwall :) And we are very much used to heavy rain, wind and grey and low clouds here at the Western coast of Norway so we will cope well if there is a little drizzle and sea mist in Cornwall :) Anyway, fingers crossed for good weather :)

It's 5:30 am here in downtown Chicago and I can't sleep. Thought I'd watch another CWT video with the wonderfully funny and charming Sarah and Andrew. I sure wish I was in Cornwall now! The closest I have been to Cornwall was Bath. Have you two always lived in Cornwall? Are you SURE there aren't any Goth pics around somewhere? ;) Oh no. It is getting light out. Hey it's raining!

Good morning! And what a lovely way to spend time when you can't sleep!! Yes, always lived in Cornwall although explore it a lot more now; no goth pics unless they were snapped by my school friends at the time!

Something different to do in Looe, perhaps the Rights of way officer, Cornwall Council, should have a word with the farmer ref, the field section, agree your comment, if the wire fence was taller or ‘less bendy’ thats the walk scuppered.....did you get a pasty Andrew, two good shops to choose from, maybe you did !!

If I remember right his body was found washed up on a beach nearby. I presume he died of natural causes, he certainly had a good life. He had a female companion, called Lucille (obviously!) but I don't think she accompanied him into the harbour to beg for fish.
