Personally, haven't had a chance to "sample" an Smashed burger, in general or specifically!-lol..They look good tho. BTW...For old skoolers, like me, after Googling, Smashed Burger is at the old Meadow Gold location. Have you guys had the chance to sample Shay's Smash Burgers, in Aiea across from Boston's Pizza/Forty-Niner's Diner? Lastly, am partial to Kua Aina burgers-Haleiwa but haven't sampled their burgers recently....

Burger Monday Foodie Ohana! I love me some onolicious burgers. Are those burgers made with fresh Hawaiian raised beef? I’ve had Hawaiian beef from Waimea on the Big Island, and it is amazing. It would make amazing burger meat. The second place had grass fed as Felix reminded us a couple of times. Does that mean grass from Hawaii or mainland? The juices were running down Felix’s hand without him even biting into it, so it looked so ono. 🐮💦 Crinkle Cut Fry Guy here because they hold up to any sauce and the ridges hang on to whatever you dip them in. I love places that do one thing and do it well! Shout out to Daley’s. Gotta love a place that allows you to choose how many patties you want. Is “gamey” meat grass fed? Another onolicious episode from our Foodie Ohana! Love you guys. 🤙🏽❤️🍔🍔🍔🍟🧊☕️🌴

Not sure if the meat is big island beef 🤔 they didn't specify on the menu so we're guessing it's not. The crinkle cut fry is a bit of a compromise but also pretty great. Shoestring fries are great for a crispy surface but have hardly any soft fluffy potato inside. Steak fries or English chip shop ships are great for the soft fluffy interior but can be a bit floppy for the crispy enthusiasts. The crinkle cut fry is pretty close to the perfect mix of both, when done well.

Favorite is the 50s Burger at Chubbies in Kaimuki. Get it double with pickles and grilled onions and you have the closest thing to the In N Out Double Double Animal Style burger IMO!

for the smash burger 1/3rd of the reviews are 1-3 stars. 1/3rd are 4 stars, and the rest 5 stars. Usually giving high reviews is the default, so a business having 2/3rds of the reviews not 5 stars, is pretty sketchy.
