Terrific ad to the library documenting this event! Thank you! Of particular note is the 360 you provide since all of the video feeds are fixed single point. You show (and in great detail!) how this new mountain is being constructed. Of interest to me is that horseshoe-shaped overhang that's growing. How long can that weight be held before it fractures and falls into that "gateway to hell" as you put it? I'll look for more of your uploads!

June really was a facinating time with our volcano. At this point she was trying to build a overhang on the crater and also the chemical composition of the magma appeared to change somewhat. More glassy texture sivery apoearance and more magnesium content. Such an interesting period.

if the lava lake takes up half the cone what is going on in the other half .? is the likely to be a roof collapse on that back wall ?

WHY would you call this a gateway into hell - when it is gentle and extraordinarily beautiful and harmed no one despite foolish decisions by people visiting
@0000Doug00003 жыл бұрын
Because you think of hell as a burning pit . It is a beautiful site to see and has nothing to do with religion.
@irilumi3 жыл бұрын
@@0000Doug0000 thank you but religion was the last thing on my mind it was a reference to the use of the word hell is all and all it connotations. Unless the term was used deliberately for effect.

Is there a way to ascertain the dimensions of the volcano and the opening and the width of the flows? Can you do a video starting at the back of the volcano and then fly to the sea showing the flow in the entirety.

What it needs is shots of where the lava is running to once it hits the cavaties (holes)..as in is it running into a river? Also get a comparison of Bob and this vent not just in size but also what's left of Bob cos I swear with all this lava pouring out, there won't be much of Bob left...if any.
@danielpinne82823 жыл бұрын
It’s totally amazing how liquefied the lava is coming out of the volcano. Do you live on the volcano of course is hot but it also looks like it could collapse.Great drone work by the way kudos

@KimmyLambert3 жыл бұрын
That is what I was noticing too! I call it the rainbow volcano because the color changes So MUCH! One day it was white due to titanium or magnesium "snow" just amazing. I hope he keeps going out there. So many drone operators go out once or twice and then you don't see anymore from them. I hope this drone operator will document all these beautiful colors regularly!! RagNar is stunning~

What are the white patches near the volcanoe?
@bradleyvrooman18013 жыл бұрын
Those are probably vents that let out built up gas. Notice how there is some yellow and maybe some faint green mixed in. It's likely sulfur. Tiny little hairs or crystals form where the gas cools down once it reaches the opening.
@ReevansElectro3 жыл бұрын
Don't worry. When people first get a drone, they often have difficulty controlling the camera at the same time as they fly the drone. You will likely learn to produce smooth pan and tilt actions in a few months of practicing.

Try adjusting you gimbal settings to run at about 1/3 their current speed. This will produce much nicer footage and give a good cinematic effect. The way the gimbal moves now is very jerky and not pleasant to view. Otherwise nice footage. I wood love to see a nice run down to Meradalir
