Looking into the void - Musou Black Redentore

There really isn't anything quite like this watch on the market. The dial is painted with 'Musou Black. ' A Japanese made acrylic compound that absorbs 99.4% of visible light. It is like looking into a infinite void. Venezianico is releasing 500 of these Ultrablack Rendentores, and I expect them to go just as quickly as the prior 700 already sold. Link is below-

Nice looking dress watch but with the crystal, you're more likely going to see reflections rather than the dial. It's an amazing material but it really only works with nothing in front of it. Most people will just see a black dial dress watch unless they examine it closely. A very nice gimmick all the same.

Nice review of an affordable and intriguing watch. I’m a big fan of the Moser Vantablack but haven’t budgeted the additional $24,500 versus this option! I have a delightful steel Movado gray dial SE with only matching gray hour and minute hands. Similar in its very “directive versus precise” time-telling and the dial and aesthetics benefit from no quartz seconds hand interrupting the design. Plus the bracelet is wonderful.

It's a nice looking watch, but I've seen some macro footage of pretty rough looking hands on one of these, so maybe they've cleaned up production since those batch. But $500 is steep for this watch, the Boldr Singularity is much better value. Also, the case back is woeful, it screams "I was made in the same factories as Pagani design et al" which kinda puts paid to all those Italian pretensions this watch has.

Negatives : lug to lug 48.00 mm ! , and Polish choice ! very shinny; I would prefer brush finish which will add more depth to the void ! .

No redentore and nereida are freaking amazing line of Venezianico watches. This watch just needs Citizen Chronomaster AR coating to be a perfect watch because Chronomaster has by far the best and most insane AR coating on the market.

Yes, the brand is Staib. The one on this watch is the 20mm thick polished version with butterfly clasp (they make different widths, finishes, and clasps)

I got mine and I love it as is. However, I wouldn't mind if they use a selitta or miyota to shave off another 1 or 2mm of height. This means a new case design which means extra R&D cost!!! And while at it, get rid of the crown guards. Maybe a Redentore 2.0!

Haven't seen the singularity in person myself. They look pretty comparable from a specs perspective. Though for my wrists I would prefer the uncoated steel in the 40mm size as opposed to coated titanium in 38

I said this before elsewhere, but isn't this the single most obvious instance in which you'd actually want AR on the front as well as the back of the crystal? Did H Moser do that? Judging by the shots you edited in, they didn't. It's actually quite handsome, but a bit big and a bit thick. I quite like the case shape, but would definitely have been more interested with an overall more refined execution of this case shape. I do agree with your logic that a bracelet or Milanese is probably better to look at than black painted leather.
