I like the included wall mount.

Glad you liked that feature! The wall mount definitely helps keep everything neat and organized, especially if you’re setting up in your garage or outside. It's a nice touch that Tesla's charger doesn’t include. Thanks for watching!

I bought one and tried it at home and it worked fine. Then tried it at an RV park and it worked fine. Then the next night at another RV park, and it kept flipping the breaker on the outlet. I sent it back and got another one and tried it at home a few times and it worked fine - BUT, I noticed that instead of pulling in at 24 amps, like my ChargePoint wall mounted one does, it pulls in at 32 volts. I set it manually to 24 amps on the car and it seems to work fine. I wish I had thought of that at the second RV park. I like the unit. I'll just set it to 24 amps in the car and that should take care of any issues, I think. We'll see.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It sounds like the 32-amp pull might have been too much for some of those RV park outlets. Smart move to set it manually to 24 amps-that should definitely help avoid any future breaker issues. Glad you’re still liking the unit overall! Let us know how it goes with the new settings.

The Tesla mobile connector would appear to be the better choice, as it has Level 1/ Level 2 capability, the thinner cable is much more manageable in colder weather.
@lifewithabox2 ай бұрын
You could be right! The Tesla mobile connector does have that versatility, and the thinner cable can make handling easier in the cold. However, the Evdance charger offers some unique features like higher amperage options for quicker charging and a durable cable that’s also designed for harsh weather. It’s great to have choices based on individual needs!

So tesla charger has 8 awg cable and other 10 awg. 10 awg 30 amp and 8 awg 40 amp, how other charger cable is better? More wight doesn't mean it better
@lifewithaboxАй бұрын
The Evdance charger also uses 8 AWG, rated for 40 amps. Thicker wire (like 8 AWG) can handle more current, offering a higher safety margin. The Evdance also includes solid build quality and safety features, so it’s not just about wire thickness or weight,

@@lifewithabox if you watch the video carefully you will see that the cable says 3 wire 10 awg and communication wires.
@lifewithaboxАй бұрын
@@Joker-N1 You're right-the cable is 3-wire 10 AWG with communication wires, balancing power and smart features. Thanks for noticing!

Had to send two of back. Both junk and Tesla Charger and Cable blow it out of the water.

Sorry to hear you had that experience! That’s definitely frustrating. I’ve had good results so far, but it’s always helpful to hear different perspectives. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
