I'm just back from a wonderful week in Carcassonne, France. I did manage to get a bottle of Le Male Elixir prior to my holiday and have to agree that its a great release albeit totally out of season. The bottle looks like something you might discover in a Pharaoh's tomb.

Hi, Sebastien. JPG Elixir was available on all major website, here in France, including Sephora. Both versions, 75ml and 125ml were heavily promoted for Father's Day. Probably they sold out.

This is the best JPG Le Male fragrance! The performance on me is 8 hours. I bought the 125ml in the UK the day it was released in May for £73 which came with a free gift of a JPG backpack. One of my favourite fragrances.

Le Male Elixir really is a great fragrance. Sebastian of course is right it has a young opening. Dry down is sweet honey amber. I personally prefer Le Male Le Parfum which is more spicy on the dry down. The Iris note is a bit more grown up in Le Parfum. I am pleased to have both. Hoping in my mid forties I can pull the Elixir off.

Well,about 8-10h for now. JPG elixir have great performance right from the gecko. It's not over too sweet at all. Would put it with Naxos as for sweetness goes. Thing I like very much it doesn't need very cold weather to open up like Dior elixir. It's very versatile and it can be worn anytime but in summer heat. Mass appealing for sure. Had no negative comment about this fragrance.

Heard from Saks that it'll be available here in the GCC in September so I'm pretty sure it'll be in the US by then too. I imported it last month from the UK, I gotta say it's growing on me day by day. The toffee vibe is so addictive, and it lasts around 10+ hours on my skin and days on clothes!

I tried it and it did not surprise me. The most beautiful thing about it is the aromatic base only, and it can be enjoyed after spraying the perfume for 40 minutes. Unfortunately, the perfume settles on the most beautiful notes after its performance weakens. I prefer le male le parfume. I see it as a better and more mature fragrance, and its performance is better than elixir...

Great review. And solid release. Unfortunately, combining amber with fougere style fragrances is akin to putting sugar and salt into you morning coffee. Simply doesn’t work. Not sure what lavender is doing in this otherwise great fragrance which makes it less fun and less wearable. And by the way lavender and fougere style fragrance is an old ugly day, totally outdated and ancient.

I'm enjoying it. I don't think it's that sweet. I'm 51. I love the lavender opening. And the dry down is pretty good. Not mind blowing. I only paid £70 for big bottle.

I have the Le Beau Le Parfum and the Elixir to use as perfume regular life situations like a walk, groceries etc. for summer and colder months. When I go meet someone or leave for more than 5h I use niche :) It has the kind of pastry note in the mid the LB LP has, it has some almond in the mid, too. Did you notice? I’m surprised how much mint it has in the opening - softening the sugar blow. So nice.

After testing "le male elixir" today i have to say that this one has nothing to do with the original "le male". Its the this kind of default synthetic "one million", "GIVENCHY gentlemen" [fill this with any insignificant scent] main stream scent. no soul, no heart. no recommendation. zero points. sorry. i wish they would get back the original. The bottle is nice :)
