Book expressive is a perfect skin scent. The initial beautiful blast of eucalyptus, bergamot and violet disappears after the first 15 seconds. Yes, 15 seconds. But then the drydown is quite pleasant with the combination of sedarwood and sandalwood. But be warned it’s still a skin scent with minimal projection, and below average performance.

I still love Santal 33 even though I know not all of us enjoy it. It is very special to me. I feel calm and ground when wearing it. I smelled Book before and it is certainly lighter, in terms of the distinctive Santal 33 scent but definitely remind me of it 😊

I've got velvet+ and gold expressive, but you've got me wanting gold + now, especially hearing about the patchouli, oakmoss, and spices in there. I'll have to move that one up on my ScentBird list (but gotta grab the rest of the Mind Games offerings they have first 😁.)

I love Nectar from Commodity!! I hope it does become a Scent Space fragrance would love to have it in a more powerful formulation! I also do not like Santal 33. So many better scents from Le Labo!

I 100000% with your take on this line of fragrances. I have paper- and paper +, milk, moss, and whiskey. I would like a Gold but can't decide which one to pick. My no brainer easy reach is paper- and I over spray...and people smell it even after hours of wear. Great review!

Oh man, I was hanging on to a Wool tester from SB for over a year. Made the mistake of wearing it to a Christmas party. Very comforting, but a bit too cologne-y. I ended up mixing it with an unscented body wash in the shower to use it up.

I need to try more of these. So far I've only tried Moss, which I really like and bought a travel spray to keep in my desk at work. Book has always sounded intriguing to me, but I also want to try Milk, Gold, and Velvet. I've never tried Santal 33 so I'm not sure if I'll like Book or not, but I guess I'll find out. lol

HOUSE REQUEST: Maria Candida Gentile. I’ve seen a few KZbinrs cover it, and it’s always positive. I discovered Exultat in 2011, and it was a beautiful incense scent. Her story is great as well.

I can find distant similarities yes! But I find BB more fluffy than Milk by Commodity. :)

Am I the only one who can’t - like literally - I can not smell Gold Expressive. I’ve sprayed a brand new bottle, let sit for two months and came back to it. Still, I can barely smell anything. It’s the weirdest thing! I can smell the 10ml travel spray. Smells nice. Very light soft vanilla. That’s the reason I purchased a full bottle but that was a dud!

Are you recommending this to both sexes in the order posted? I am really into velvet on a first sniff basis. Book smells very good on my skin and like I want to spray it around a library. It’s like a hot librarian in either sex. Contradictory? 😂 I am not loving Milk when I had thought I would. It’s too warm and masculine for me. Paper expressive was literally paper 🧐 Gold I don’t remember but I didn’t like it on me. Masculine leaning I think and too warm. I want to try Miss, Nectar and W*****y now!

I can‘t smell Paper at all, none of the three versions. Love Rain, Nectar resembles Neroli Oranger from Matiere Premiere, but I like the latter more. Moss and Bergamot is very nice.

Strange re Paper. Anosmia is a real thing. You are probably anosmic to ISO E Super which most people are. I was I couldn’t smell it. But I didn’t give up. I kept trying, and eventually started smelling it. 😀

I've never smelled any of these. They have them at Sephora in Montreal apparently but I loathe going to Sephora. LOL Maybe one day I'll make an exception and finally smell through them. I really enjoy boozy fragrances, so Whiskey sounds like something I would really enjoy.
