I've tasted it this morning and is one of the best fragance that I've smelled in years. Incredible in the opening, it reminds me to Cartier Declaration Eau de Parfum a lot when it dries. An exceptionall fragance. Maybe the best fragance of Guerlain in years.

Oh dear - I adore habit rouge. I cannot wait now to smell this… as a woman I want to wear this, I’m so tired of the approach of marketing fragrances as masculine and feminine. They may indeed be leaning one way or the other but I don’t like the marketing approach as it makes me hesitate to purchase. As I get older I care less though and I’m going to try this and see if I can carry it off… thanks

Platine Prive is an absolute gem and I'm so glad it smells very close to the Cologne (running really low) and it's perfect for spring/summer. For me, the Platine Prive is slightly smoother/refined and the performance is fantastic, easily get 8-10 hours on my skin! Habit Rouge Prive sounds very promising and looks like I'll be grabbing this one as well.

Had my heart rate up, wallet out, 🤓Paris travel guides, etc and then you said the safe word: powdery. Audible groan, in fact you may have heard it. Cannot, will not do powdery. I think at an early age I was chased by an old woman reeking of lavendar and talc powder.

Really struggled to find a sample in the UK. Was reluctant to blind buy due to the cost. Finally bitten the bullet as it has been reduced slightly in the Christmas sale at John Lewis. Fingers crossed it’s as good as the reviews I’ve seen.

Great news! One can only hope that they manage this release well enough to keep it around for some time. But since money talks, reformulations walk and consumers are apparently only interested in novelty, every fragrance is technically a limited edition. 😢 Still, we need more perfumes like this in the designer realm! ❤

Man! This is a ginger bomb up top. Not quite as much of a Lemon Pledge vibe as, say Eau de Gingembre from Mizensir. Definitely more bergamot. Maybe it's the orange blossom that amps up the ginger. I'm still just digging into this one though.

I got mine on Offerup from a guy that travels to France very often. It is a very elegant release, very unique and classy. I'm actually on the process of decanting my entire collection but, knowing this one isn't going to be available on the us market, I'll keep this bottle to myself. 😊

Your last year favorite designer cologne was: Narciso Rodriguez bleu noir Parfum - Which for whatever reason was causing me olfactory fatigue, I believe was probably excessive musk and added tonka. I love the EDT though, fresh, airy and sophisticated.

Hi, thank you on the heads up thats it's a limited run. I got my bottle in last week, but ordered another right now. I, like you, am wowed by it since I enjoy Habit Rouge line very much with the discontinued cologne being my favorite. Thanks on the nice first impressions! P.S. You will notice that on some people there's a lot more vanilla coming out than leather which I found odd. On my skin, the russian leather take goes slightly animalic which I enjoy.

Got this for bit under 100 dollar. Im split on this...its love and hate. I hated the opening which smell like cough syrup but once the citruses faded...enter the leather which smell absolutely addicting...bit tan rugged leather. Love the leather in the drydown.. the type of leather that like acqua diparma leather. Simply put this is habit rouge + leather. Buy it if u like leather and skip if u dun like leather. Wear this perfume with leather jacket...perfect setting.

Its been a great 10 days! I just got this today and getting Platine Prive on the 12th and BDC Parfum on the 7th. All three are homeruns! Those three could make an outstanding three-fragrance collection.. Not for me, cause I now have 37, but it COULD be.

I prefer Shalimar EDT to Habit Rouge EDT, must definitely get my nose on this new leathery flanker. Haven't seen it yet in stores here in Germany, but will be on the lookout for it. Have a 50ml of the discontinued Cologne, must also smell the Platine Prive to compare.

@@Rsaint17 Yes I think you could pull this off during your early 30's. Yes it still reminds you of the original but it feels like it has been done with new/better ingredients. Lemon smells fresher, leather smells more modern, there is iris and vanilla also. But still it is like a clean barbershopy smell. It is not like a modern freshy. It is not as mature as the original and I think it is a better scent than the original. I would still sample it first if you are not sure.

@@Rsaint17yes, rouge prive is more modern and will work great for younger wearers. according to Guerlain, the leather is mostly from Oud, and this has a lot of Rose, so basically it is a modern Oud/Rose with the habit rouge guerlinade base. it’s incredible.

I feel this brand is niche. Despite making cosmetics. As far as the palatine prive goes I’d bet there was an ingredient in it that was probably made unacceptable by IFRA. And Guerlain probably waited to re package the line to roll out the new one. Also Guerlain possibly paid attention to the people online feeling disappointed that the original cologne was discontinued.

I wonder if the HR privé is suitable for warmer temperatures like here in California (Bay Area). I have a 100 ml HR EDP and a 200 ml HR EDT. I like the EDP a little better but I only wear both HR versions at home. I’m afraid ppl will totally dislike it. What are your thoughts on this? It will drop to 50% like all new Guerlains after 2 years (designer/cheaper line). 4-5 years ago they used to drop to 30-35% of the retail price, but everything got more expensive nowadays...
