I like extreme alot. Longevity is around 5/6 hours on my skin. Edp is still the best out of the line imo and gets me more compliments.

Something was a little off at the start but it grown up and now i absolutely love it!! I get huge performance from it, over 12 hours longevity and in the deep drydown smells like chocolate! One of my favorites this year!

When I got Ideal EDP I was initially a bit disappointed. it smells really good, but I thought that I only lasted 2-4 hours. When I smelled my jumper the next day and it still had that delicious vanilla cherry smell on it, I knew it was just my nose playing tricks on me. Jus de Rose advised me that Extreme is different enough to the EDP to justify owning both, so I've added it to my 2021 wishlist. I look forward to owning it.

The old bottle with plastic around it is long lasting but a bit stiff in price the without plastic i don't know maybe changed their formulation..

Just bought this today, November 26th, 2021. As a relative newbie, this is my very first fragrance with tobacco in it and a gourmandish edge to it (the plum). I have stayed away from "gourmand", from leather and tobacco so far. I am not really drawn to smelling like stuff people eat. But this one is an easy way for me to...er...ease ever so tentatively into this sector of fragrances. It doesn't scream "tobacco!", doesn't scream "plums!", doesn't really scream anything. It's...refined. Classy. I certainly don't want to smell like a walking marzipan, either. The almond in this one is, again, well blended in. Yes, I like it. I consider it a very happy first dip of the toe, as it were. I heard another reviewer with a lot of experience in the Ideal collection say that Extreme is notably unlike the others in that it's not sweet or "chirpy", rather more refined, dry, aloof. I'm SURE that's why I like it. I suspect I wouldn't go for the others. Extreme is likely right at the borders of my capacity to enjoy this kind of fragrance. But I do, I really do.

Guerlain is a really good brand, its a boring idea to squeeze until the last drop the l homme ideal line, and considering thierry wasser is a master perfumer i hope to see something new in 2021, not a fresh side l homme ideal flanker

I've been talking about the Extreme for the longest when Ashton first talked about it on his channel and got it from overseas. I got a sample of it shortly after that time and it took me a bit to get used to it (my skin was not going for it at first), but yeah, it's a great fragrance. To me it has a almond / cherry liqueur and warm plum vibe going on with the fragrance and is very, very nice for a designer. Sweet, sensual, warm, attractive, and just overall very nice and I recommend trying a sample. They just listed on Fragrantica that it is the #1 choice in their "Reader's Choice Awards" for men's fragrances for 2020, so now suddenly everyone is talking about it after the longest, lol. Nice release overall.

My favorite from the line. A lot of classic touches (powdery heliotrope and vanilla) which I love. I do get 7+ hours when it's cold outside, however I have worn this last summer a couple of times and then it burns off within 4 hours.

Will have to give the Extreme a second chance. Earlier in the year had a face off between three perfumes to choose just one to buy as my favorite: Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Extreme, Bvlgari Man in Black, and Prada Luna Rossa Black. My favorite ended up being the Prada and got that one. Still have a sample of the Guerlain Extreme though. In a way it's kind of rough to me, maybe the pepper? At least compared to the smooth Prada it seems rough. My favorite from the L'Homme Ideal line still is the Cologne. A very Happy New Year 2021, Sebastian!

I sampled Extreme and I really like it. Cinnamon, tobacco and leather are my favorite notes. I also own EDT and Colognes as well. I used to wear Cologne at the time when was released but lately it's not working with my body chemistry. Smells like rotten lemons.

Not sure what it is, but there is something in the Extreme that my nose can't handle. Too much almond maybe. Because I can handle the EDP just fine and they are very similar to my nose. Ideal Cool is nice and fresh. It reminds me of a Mojito.

I have the extreme. I wasvery disappointed at its strength.. it was gone from my skin in a few hrs. 4 probably at the best. After tht I cudn detect it. So it's a bita let down for me. Dior homme parfum. Is a masterpiece.. its probably the best ever in my opinion.

A day later I am reassessing. Yes, it's still weak...ish, but there's a bit more guts there than the first impression suggested. You can't be timid about spraying it on, 'cause it's by no stretch of the imagination anywhere even remotely in the neighborhood of "beast mode." You just gotta pump away. A few spritzes right on your hair, and when you spray the wriists and collar area be SURE to get it on both your skin and your clothes. Okay, maybe you'll asphyxiate your taxi driver on the way to work, but it's not an obnoxious scent in any case. He shouldn't mind that much. By the time you get to work it's a highly pleasing "ambience" subtly wafting around you. I asked my best friend if I "smelled" too much, and his first reaction was that he smelled nothing at all, but once I drew his attention to it he said, "Oh yeah, there is something there. It's nice." So, CLEARLY I wasn't "fumigating" anybody at the office either. Still and all. the stuff does...stay there, in its slightly maddening subtle way. It's, like, kind of not there but...oh, yeah, "there it is again." And the big thing I have noticed after a few days getting used to it is this: just when you were convinced it had petered out and was all gone, suddenly there is a whole world of CEDAR floating around you. I'm wondering if this is Iso E Super, if I remember the name right, because I have had my first experience of Molecule 01 (a couple of weeks ago) and what L'homme Idéal Extrême is doing to me, at the extreme (no pun intended) end of its "afterlife," 12-14 hours after applying it, is wrapping me in practically the same sensation I was getting when I picked up Molecule 01 on somebody else and found myself going mad trying to identify what that hypnotic scent in the air was.

I have bought the Extreme, a small bottle. Wonderful fragrance BUT...soooooo weak. I will enjoy this bottle while it lasts (using it fast, since it's so weak) and I won't be buying it again. Maybe if I were a Vanderbilt, yeah, but I'm just a Sears.

Just today I tested it for my first time and I got a big disappointment. Just another thin rounded fragrance where nothing stand outs. Tobacco??? Really??? Where??? 99.9999% of the people who would smell this on a blind tasting wouldn´t say by themselves it have tobacco. And what you talks about thin perfume. Totally agree, where are the designer perfumes with deepness like Dior Homme Parfum??? I know that not all the perfumes has to be like DHP but at least those ones that have names like Parfum, Extreme, Intense, etc. should comply as DHP or be close to that level of quality. This could be a good perfume but is just a joke they made to us changing a little shit on the edt dna to make people buy more cheap shit that they are producing. No way, we are accepting anything they bring us to make money.

I know your comment was a year ago, but I just sprayed a sample of Extreme on my wrist, and searched on youtube for reviews. I was surprised to see that it had tobacco in it... I cannot smell tobacco at all. I noticed you were the only one to make that observation as well. Out of curiosity what are your top 3 or 5 favorite perfumes?

L homme ideal Extreme has a metallic note that destroys the whole composition in my opinion. And its there from the opening till the drydown. Can't stand it personally. The Edp is good though. Nothing special, a bit weak but still a good one.
